Just started playing for real money...

Well Friday I finally decided to take the big plunge into the pool after playing for a year at FullTilt with play chips and home games. I deposited $50 into PokerStars since they were running a bonus deal and one of my best friends plays there. I started playing at the .01/.02 tables and man was it great, at the end of the night I was only up $2 or $3 but I'll felt like a champion LoL. After the weekend and not playing at all Saturday and most of the day Sunday I was up $8 and still just playing the .01/.02.

Today I attempted my first SnG which was only a $1+.20. I finished 23rd out of 45, those are tougher then I expected. I attempted another one a few hours later and only finished 30th I also moved up to .02/.05 tables. I'm now up to $70 and loving real money poker. I hope to reach $100 by the end of this weekend. Oh and I've only made 2 FPP so far, only 498 to go for my bonus!

I remember that feeling when I deposited 50$ at partypoker and with in a week or 2 , I made about $1000 and never looked back.Of course I was playing higher limits and I hit a hot streak , considering that I didnt know too much about pot odds and other things. So my advise is to study the game and you will make even more money . Good luck!

I am only at the start of the same way you just went through, i.e. I am still doing the play money thing on Full Tilt and thinking of whether or not I am ready to start playing the microlimits.
BTW, as far as I understand, you can deposit a minimum of $20 by Neteller. Are there any sign up bonus if you only deposit 20?

Nice winning $70 at .01/.02! That must be 3500 big blinds or something. You seem to be a really nice player

Yea I must of been very lucky and only playing ring games. Unfortunately that was followed by no luck at all for a few weeks , didnt understand it then but now I know poker is all about streaks, at least for me it seems.

Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome. I won my first SnG yesterday! I'm now 1/4 LoL but that one I won I came in first so I'm excited about that. My bankroll is now sitting a just over $150! I've tripled my bankroll in about 5 days and I'm so excited! Poker is addicting though because I've been playing nonstop. I hope my luck continues to be this good.

I play real money at the local saloon every weekend, buy in min. 75.00. alot different than on line. NOBODY raises pre flop, nobody raises with big slick. I always break even.

If nobody raises pre-flop, that should be pretty easy money
