I've been lookin around the forums lately and have seen a lot of talk about bots and different programs that assist in playing online. Is there a list of legal programs and if so what do they actually do?

There are many programms to play online with and you and professional players can't really live without them. They can do for example following things:
1. Show you stats of your opponets, so you have good reads on them
2. Show your stats, so that you can see whether you are playing tight or agrressive enough.

online poker is a completely unregulated industry, nobody oversees anything, no governing bodies to answer to, just the poker sites providing a service and protecting their reputation....because thats all they really have
