| Just a little challege for myself. Well, ive been seein alot of stuff about poker calculators lately. An how if following what calculator says u cant lose. I think there dam stupid by following what it says. An what if you get to a table and everyone is doing what calculator says it will be world smost boring game last for days. N e way moveing on calculator advertisers say you will finish in top 3 7 out of 10 times in a sit n go. i decided to see what i could do in 10 sit n gos (i never use calculators) just useing my own skills and luck. On pokerstars ill be playing 10 $3.40 buyin sit n goes. Becuase im only 18 and not rich :P Bank balance start of the day: 57 dollers. Being just me i be wanting to break even atleast by the end of the day. Game 1:Finished 1st = 15 dollers Game 2: Finished 4th = 0 Game 3:finished 6th = 0 Game 4:Finished 2nd = 9 dollers Game 5:Finished 5th = 0 Game 6:Finished 1st = 15 doller Game 7:Finished 3rd = 6 dollers Star of game 8 dealt an flopped this: ![]() Game 8:finished 1st = 15 dollers Game 9:finished 3rd = 6 dollers Strange but true in game 9 got ![]() Game 10 finished:3rd = 6 doller Spent: 34 dollers Won: 72 dollers Profit:38 dollers Finihsed in top 3 7/10 times Won. 3 2nd 1 3rd 3 Bank now 95 dollers Am happy with my play an if i had calculator it would take the fun out of the game. i know my profit wasnt much because of there only 3.40 tables i just play for fun and gain more experince myself i played 2 games at a time 4 at dinner gmt - mostly europeans and 6 games after 8pm - all over world lol. What you think about calculators and my results at the $3.40 tables? an 4 of a kind kings twice in space of a hour!!! if it rigged pokerstars favours peopl who play alot hahah! |

| There was a recent discussion about calculators, Don : Pot odds software calculator and I stand by what I said there. A calculator can be a worthwhile training tool, but they are ridiculously overhyped. I actually read on one of the sites (I forget which) that, using their calculator, a beginner can play the $100 buyin STTs and turn a great profit. Sounded like suicidal advice to me. The calculator will help you to play ABC poker by the numbers. At the lowest levels, where a lot of the players can`t manage even that standard, this may be good enough to make you a winning player. At the $100 buyins, it`ll get you stuffed like a Christmas turkey. Well done on your win, but ten games is too small a sample to mean anything, m8. Come back and tell us how you are doing when you reach 200. |
