Maybe you don't have the option of choosing your job or you may think you don't. Jobs are exactly the same as poker. With a job you invest your time for a guaranteed return of payment. With poker, the investment is time and money with no guarantee of return.

How about the people who live in the good ole US of A who have to spend countless hours wondering if the deposit they just made won't suddenly become illegal or that the poker site in question won't just kick them off and they have to spend 6 months trying to get their money. Are you happy with Online poker?

Well, to put it simply (wink to those that know the reference) the answer to the poll is easy, you just never actually knew what the poll question was. To ask in a poker forum if members are happy with online poker, you will get a resounding yes. But that answer gives you little to no information. What you should really be looking for is something more provocative and probing regarding poker, online banking, and gov't interference both domestic (US) and abroad. That is where the real question resides, in those topics. Anyway...bonus points to the first person that can 1) give me the "Ultimate Answer" to the "Great Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything" AND 2) do so without searching the internet for it or in any other way looking it up, AND 3) tell me honestly that you actually knew it off the top of your head. P.S. So long and thanks for all the fish. Last edited by Jack Daniels : 12th February 2007 at 7:05 AM.

Not to just repeat previous posters, but I don't know what type of answer you are looking for. I just voted, and well, obviously the answer is a yes to teh question you posed. I think you need to be a bit more specific with the question. You need to ask what type of improvements should be made towards online poker, or what things you do not like about online poker. The question you asked is just too general, for you to get an actual poll out of. Most of the answers, like people before me have said, would be a yes. This is a poker forum. Also, I don't consider poker to be comparable to an actual job. Unless you're a professional poker player, which most of us are not, then poker definitely cannot be compared to a job. Its more like a hobby or something people do for fun. Just because someone isn't that great or are very good at something doesn't mean they wouldn't continue to do it. For example, I used to play softball and run track when I was younger, and well I wasn't too great at softball, but I was one of the best track athletes at the school. I think I could say that most of the time, enjoyed playing softball more than running track. It's just something people do. I don't understand, or exactly play golf, or even watch it at all, but I think that might be a good exacmple, because I hear a lot of people well, aren't the best at it, but they love to play the game. It doesn't matter that they can't play too well, because they just like the game.

Great Book? All 4 books in the trilogy are great. & 42 obviously. Didn't bother responding because of the way to general nature of the question. Will check future posts & respond when so moved. Nothing personal, not trying to discourage you from posting. |
