Congrats! That's how I got my start playing for real cash too. Every bankroll has to start somewhere, and that starting place isn't always in your existing bank account! Which game was it, by the way?

Also, is $14 enough to stop playing the freerolls with?(except the CC ones ofcourse). Just those 2700 people donkfest ones.

Hey first of all congrats on your win!! I have yet to take down one of the donk fest freerollls lol but I will eventually for braggin rights haha. Personally I think the minimum you need to start your bankroll is $10. I do recommend a Chris Ferguson video on how to manage your bankroll, you can find it at Full Tilt academy. It has helped me increase my bankroll ridiculously. I'm guessing your four session a week comes from thinkin you play one day and take a break the next? haha. I don't think you should look at it like that. Personally i just play when I want, but I have mimi rules for myself; Like if I don't cash in any three tournaments I play in that day I'll stop, or if I used up more than 10% of my bankroll I'll stop. I use these rules so i don't burn out my bankroll. I have many but thats just an example. Anyways, once again congrats on your win.

By the way FTP has a 250$ freeroll everyday at 21:05 for Us residents. Check it out! It has 7500 ppl but It goes just as fast as the normal 2700 ppl one.

Im my opinion, it is much harder to place 2nd in a $100 freeroll that only pays 27/2700, than it is to take down a STS&G.

If I were you I would invest ONE of your brand new, hard won dollars in playing 3 of the 30 cent satellites to the daily dollar. If you are able to parlay that dollar into 3, keep this up till your BR is at least 65 posts, I mean dollars, then do the same with the $1 STS@Gs.

Note, Don't forget to unregister from the DD games after every win. I do that waaay too often. DOH!

I choose the ST games because they have proven the easiest for me.

I have had around $20 for about 6 months and it seems that there is a dude who works for Full Tilt who's job is to give bad beats to anyone who wins money. LOL. Every time I win a few bucks I can't seem to keep the cash rolling.

The micro stakes(.01/.02 blinds) cash tables are almost like playing a freeroll. People chase hands all day long. Don't mean to be mr. negative but it is pretty tough to build that bankroll.

Try the satellite tourneys to the daily dollar. They have nine people and you win a buck if you finish in the top 2 and they are fun and quick and cost 30 cents.

Congrats that really is quite a accomplishment. I always seem to start playing badly after the 3 hour mark so i'm guessing thats why i've never made it to one of the final tables in those. Since you managed to play good poker for 6 hours then I suggest you play in the Daily Dollar tournaments. I've almost cashed in these a few times but yet again I play terribly when i've been playing over 3 hours. So give the Daily Dollars a try and you would probably do quite well with a good bit of luck and a lot of patience.

I have played the Full tilt UK $100 freeroll a few times and my best finish was 25th...

But from reading previous posts in this thread I think ill be investing those $2 winnings into the S&G satallite for the DD. It seems pretty good value.

I cant play the FT Freerolls, I play the private tourneys that have a low turn out and a nice prize pool. The FT Tourneys would be better If they paid out more spots. GL with the funds though!

Well now that it looks like they bumped the Full Tilt freerolls to 7500 players, maybe it is time to stop those ones! Haha! But they are great experience, and still pretty gratifying, so I'll probably never stop myself. Your mileage may vary. Keep up the great results!

I usually do fairly well in those massive entrant freerolls (2000 - 8,000 entrants) typically will finish in the top 100 - 300 (about 50-60% of the time) but those huge fields are so tough to overcome, especially the donks shoving every other hand - it's like you're dodging bad beats the entire time, lol.

Congrats... I've finished just under the top 100 a couple of times now, but never seem to get into the money... Any advice on how to get ITM????

Patience, patience, patience. Keep playing and building skills, play some smallball when you're getting close, don't get blinded out when everyone tightens up at the bubble, and be ready to play a good number of these tourneys! Lots of people are gunning for free money, but your turn will come if you keep playing.

Bravo ! These are some of the hardest tourneys to win so dont let some of the cheap shots get to you, even though its for little cash, you beat at least 2700 players at on sitting and thats a great accomplishment

Essentially you want to commit to many pots at a cheap cost in the hopes that you get paid off big when something hits and your opponent is unlikely to put you on a hand. People are going to really tighten up at the bubble, and if you can keep yourself in pots, you'll pick up some of those chips when people are afraid to play back. Good luck!

aha thanx will go check it out now... but by then the blinds and antes takes about a sixth of my stack so I rarely play weaker cards... and waiting for the nuts also takes too long...
