Jack and Jill Tournaments - Help Wanted

I am seeking those who have played in the above style tournaments for suggestions, pearls of wisdom, and any other helpful information concerning playing stlye and strategy..


both myself and my partner have almost identical styles of play, so much so that I can glance over his shoulder when he is playing and know what he will do with the hole cards and vice versa..


just for an amuzing laugh, we were playing in the same Local Live Tourney Sat nite, both making the final table..,. He was chip leader and I was short stacked.. It came down to a decision for me with only 9,000 chips [blinds were 2k/4k] both of us in the blind with me in the BB. River card played .. I have a str8 draw that missed with 5 2 os in hand and every card but the needed 3 on board including a pr of 7's.. after going all in, he looks at me and asks if I have the 7's .. I turn around and tell him that I'll give you the same answer you would give me.. [I knew he was trying to get a read on the situation].. I almost had him bluffed out of the pot but for him having a piece of the board.. [he had 2 pr] .. yet if I was going to be out, I would rather it be to him ..We had a good laugh after the tournament was over.. becasue he had recently ask me if I could make a convincing bluff..


I think this will illustrate also how in tune we are with each others play.
