Iron Man Mid-Year Bonus

You’ve shown your determination. You’ve dedicated your time. Now reap the rewards with our Iron Man Mid-Year Bonus.
Qualify for any of the four Iron Man status levels in June and receive a bonus at the beginning of July. The bonus is based on the number of months you’ve qualified for the Iron Man Challenge during the first half of 2008 and the status levels you achieved each month:

• Bronze - $25/Month
• Silver - $50/Month
• Gold - $75/Month
• Iron - $100/Month

For example, if you qualified for one month at Bronze, two months at Silver, one month at Gold, and two months at Iron, you’ll receive a bonus of $400. If you’ve committed yourself to earning Iron Man status each month of the year so far, you’ll receive a bonus of $600. Even if you haven’t qualified for any Iron Man level this year, you can still earn a bonus by participating in the Iron Man Challenge in June.
Remember, you must opt-in to the Iron Man Challenge and reach Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Iron Man status to qualify. You will then have all of July to earn your bonus amount. Check your bonus status by linking through the "My Promotions" button in the cashier.

I apologize for my ignorance, but does this mean there is something you have to do in order to be eligible for the bonus? Or can you just make a certain status and receive that amount of bonus for June?

I think you just have to go to your iron man status page and hit the change preferences button if you are currently opted out. It is on the right side of the page.

I too am knew to these bonuses but I think all you have to do is qualify in June and hit the preference button.

Yes. Go to the Iron Man status page via the Promotions button in the FTP software. In there you will see a popup that asks you for the:

BONUS MEDALS
FREEROLLS
NOTHING

Pick Bonus Medals. Then qualify by playing A LOT of cash game play at FullTilt and then watch your Iron Man status improve. One trick is to play during the happy hour times when the FTP Points are doubled at the tables.

This definitely gives a great incentive to hit one of the Iron Man bonuses this month! I narrowly missed bronze last month.

why would you have to pick bonus medals? that is not clear to me (although that IS my current option). wow, this was a pleasant surprise for 200+ bucks.

Actually, happy hour extra FTPs do not count for the iron man challenge.

Depends what you call "A LOT". When I play 6 tables of 25NL, it takes about an hour to get 50 FTPs. Do that for 20 days and you get the bronze status.

Agreed with Belgo ... and yes he is right I just looked into it, the happy hour does not count towards Iron Man (but I will say it brings out the fish!).

Last night I 5-tabled at FTP for 50 minutes and got 47 FTP points. So basically if you want silver status you are looking at 6-tabling for 2 hours a day for 20 days.

Also remember that table selection is very important. Loose, aggressive tables accumulate FTPs faster.

What is the actual amount of FPP you earn each hand? Is it based on the amount in the pot? And do you just have to be at the table, but not in the hand to aquire?

Every person dealt into the hand earns 1 point for each dollar raked. Fractional points are given.

I 2-3 table 3/6 fixed and get the 200 points in about 1-2 hours. This is very easy bonus money.

Only pick the medals for Bronze and Silver, since they have close to a 1000 ppl when you hit Gold and Ironman play the freeroll, since only about 400ppl are in and your playing for 20 or 30 k and top 90 pays so it is fairly easy to cash for 90 for 90th or 120 bucks in the Ironman. Plus the winners of all 4 play for a chance at 50 to 100k
