| Interesting situation A few minutes ago I was playing free. It is a S&G tournament. Round 3 with 5/10 bind blind. I was playing tight and so far hasn't participated in any action (poor cards and the only hand I played, I missed the flop completely.) So far my observation of the table is that everybody is quite loose-passive. > 70% of people see flop, and nobody ever raises preflop. After flop they bet pretty standard and people fold happily. Not a single reraise action. If they don't have top pair they never bet. But if they hit top pair they forget about their kicker. Quite standard stuff. Now I am BB and got dealt JJ. Every single guy before me limped $10. (average stack is about $110. I have $90) I was glad that my time has finally come (to steal some blinds) and I pushed. I got one caller who flipped over QQ. lol. Not sure exactly what I learned from this... maybe calculate my odds of JJ vs. any hidden overpair in a field of 6 other people = AA, KK, QQ: 6 x 3 = 18 50 cards left, 1225 possibilities for opponents ((1225-18)/1225)^6= 0.915 (so I belong to the rest 8.5%) I'll probably do it again.
