| Interesting scenario:/ what would you do? I was involved in this hand last nite ikn a 1000 "freeroll" at Jungle poker. Put yourself in the position of the BB and tell me what you would do. Down to 3 left. I am on the button with 52,000 in chips. The SB has 9000 and the BB has 58,000. 3rd pays $140, 2nd $200, 1st $300. blinds are 1000/2000. I move all in with AJs (not the optimal move here but thats a story for another time) trying to get the SB to commit himself. SB folds. BB looks down at pocket 7s. What do you do? _________________ |

| Should have kept it small ball with a 5-7k raise, irregardless if you wanted to "price out" a non premium hand from the BB. As per the BB, it's a clear fold, unless I had the bullets or possibly even KK. a 25x raise from any position usually signifies the clear strength of a big pair for the most part. |

| I call to punish the fool who shoved with 26 big blinds. O_O Seriously, what were you thinking? Quote:
edit: To make my post vaguely constructive, have you heard of ICM? There's a lot of information online about it, you should look it up if you haven't heard of it. Basically it involves converting players stack sizes into equity in the prize pool. Sometimes decisions that are +EV in terms of chips are -EV in terms of actual money (in the form of payouts). | re: Interesting scenario:/ what would you do? poker This is an easy fold. Blind out the short stack and slide into 2nd place. Why jeopardize $60.00 more on the payout while patience for 3 more minutes would take you there. Furthermore you still have a better opportunity to play for $300.00. Folding is the smarter move. |
