Initial Reports say Treasury to delay UIGEA 6 Months

The US Treasury Department is expected to delay implementation of regulations that would require banks to stop online poker and other gambling transactions via credit cards.

A hearing on this matter is slated for December 3. Barney Frank's office was expected to release a statement shortly.

That is good news - I haven't let myself be too concerned about it. I figured something might come up.

I think among other things..it helped that one of the credit card codes to be blocked was actually a code for horse racing, which brought additional last-minute heat.

^^^This. And since the horse racing industry was exempted from the UIGEA to begin with, you can see why they threw a fit.
