Is increasing % pot size bets on subsequent streets a reliable tell? When people intentionally under bet the pot, then bet half, then bet say 3/4 of the pot...or some other increasing betting pattern......is this a tell of strength? Is this one of the most manipulated things people use to reverse a tell on the strength of their hand? Do people tend to do this with mariginal hands? Very premium hands where they want a call? What do you guys find to be your experience....I can only gauge from what i have seen online cause its easier to see hands shown down. I have found it to be a huge sign of strength, but as i transition to live....different pot size bets mean different things to different people so i would love to know what u think?

re: Is increasing % pot size bets on subsequent streets a reliable tell? poker I agree that usually it is a sign of strength. If there is a straight or flush draw though, it may be betting to get you to fold or just call so he can see another card cheaply.

I mean if the board is absolutely dry of straight and flush draws....If hes a tight player that doesnt bluff really.....and hes consistently increases the % of the pot....is it usually a sign of mariginal strength, or too moderate of strength to bluff the guy off his hand?
