Inconsistent needs help

So anyways i have been trying out this new style of play in the hometown LPG. It worked for the first two days and i was feeling invincible but yesterday it went totally wrong. I didnt get any hands the first hour of play and then i went downhill afterwards. The plan was basically to get in with suited cards, connectors and to play big hands like AQs by limping in if 2 people were already in b4 me or if i was early in pos. I was winning big pots with this but on the last day i didnt get anything good in the first hour and i found myself trying to steal pots to stay in the game but that doesnt work. I am thinking i should be more patient but how do i adjust when everyone is showing a hand and I start assuming everyone is a rock.
