IF and Poker

I was going to write a version of this for poker players. "If you can keep your stack... etc" but I got a few lines in and thought why bother it's already relevant?

A truly remarkable poem which I have always enjoyed and got a lot from in approaching many things, but it really says a lot about a successful attitude to poker as well (I'm only a tiny bit tongue in cheek here).

These two parts in particular have massive relevance to poker (though the second suggests his bankroll management needs work )

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;

and

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;


Anyway for those who don't know it... Rudyard Kipling's IF.
