| I wonder what the odds were on this happening? My opponent had gone all in every hand so I decided I'd try and catch him out because he was doing it with a lot of weak hands. I went in with 10 K both diamonds. Unfortunately for me he had A 9 both spades. The flop came out 7 J 9 all diamonds, and I was thinking this is great he hasn't a hope. The turn came and it was a 9 of clubs and I was thinking to myself there was no way he'd hit an ace but on the river he hit the A of clubs for a full house A A 9 9 9 to my flush. (By the way I know it was bad play to go all in here, it was just a free tourney and a bit of fun, just was interested to find out what the odds of flopping a flush like that then losing to a full house are) |

| Odds of flopping a flush: (11/50)*(10/49)*(9/48) = ~0.84% On the flop, villain had a ~2.83% chance of beating your flush (with runner-runner full house), so the chances of you flopping a flush and him beating you are 0.84 * 2.83 = ~2.4% (someone correct me if I'm wrong) |

This is assuming your numbers are right for flopping or beating the flush. |
