I think i'm getting better???

I don't want to seem to egotistical or anything of that sort, but like I state I believe i'm getting better in my mtt game, I'm constantly finsihing out of ever 15 out of 25 games out of 180 ppl on pokerstars in the money, not the big money but the money none-the-less and in the past 2 days i've had 3 6th places finishes plus acouple top in the money finishes and just today 2 2nd place finishes, but the thing is the first place I crave is'nt coming no matter how I play, no matter who I play, no matter how aggressive or passive I play. but the thing I can't seem to comprehend is why I can't make in the money in bigger fields of players? Why is it I always seem to lose prior to the money, lets look at the Sunday 200k, I finished 10 spots from the money, and then the 3.40 rebuys on Stars I've finished 20ish somthing away from the money 4 times now, combined totally of buyins $50, it's not like the players are any different then the 2.20 mtts, or the 4.40 mtts, nor is it like the money is the same at all, so what is it that i'm doing wrong that gets me so close and then Bang I'm out, I know Irexe told me to remember the pain of losing and learn from it, but I just can't seem to grasp this since I know how it feels to lose, and I hate losing, I really really hate it, but I can't seem to make it in the big money tournies, I swear I would post all of my smaller ahievements but I guess in a sense I just want that big cash like others have had or want also.

plz feel free to leave anything you might think is somewhat helpful, I should be happy I took 2nd place in this tourney, and I have a nice little BR built but I'm really not all that happy about it

What we have to remember is that in a large field tourney, the earlier stages weed out all the "bad" players so as you get closer and closer to the money the table dynamics change, which is why it is so hard to win a major tournament. Playing in the 2.20 buy ins is like the first couple tables in a big MTT. Just keep working it will come.
