I spent 5k FTA credits. Was it worth it?

I spent 5k ftp academy credits on a $26 token, since I only had .27c in my account. Couldn't decide on the 45man, KO 90man, or 9manMatrix.
Decided that the matrix might be the way to go; seeing as I had 5 shots at making money(4 tables and Matrix pool). That way I only had to get at least 3rd on 1 table to have something in my account, but I had hopes for more.
I didn't make the Matrix pool, but placed in 3 of 4 and won $30.24 total from 2 3rd places, and a 2nd place!! I dunno how my rake-back is gonna be affected from purchasing it with the credits, but only been playing the micros recently anyway, which never ends up being much of anything. I assume I'll be a little in the negative. So I got a little roll boost, and since I havent been doing well at cash recently, mine as well some SnG's with this roll I guess.

So is paying 5k academy credits for 30$, which is what I kinda did, worth it? I can afford 1 more 26$ token, but probably won't since I have reg cash.

I'm not sure if academy credits count against rakeback or not, but if they do that would be a ~7$ hit you took, so still not bad since you got more than the $25 that 5k ftp are worth back from it.

I did not know you could use tokens for matrix, may have to do that next time I get to 5k academy points.

Yeah it was either those 3 types I listed, or 9 or 18man sats for 75$ tokens, or other sats that only had 1 pay spot iirc. No regular SnG's for that price tho. It also seemed semi-soft, even to me lol. I never really played Matrix, except a micro one once. I kinda fell off on the accumulation of academy credits, gonna start trying to build em up again. 20k for 100$ cash bonus, but 5k for 26$ token. If you can at least turn that 26$ token into 30$ cash each time, I think it might be a better deal than the cash, but more work and only if you make at least 25$ bacK on each token i guess to break, which wouldn't be guaranteed. So who knows. If you get first in that 26$ matrix tho,on any math its like 21$ for 1st, so a couple first's and I think a good deal.
