I'm gonna take 1900 of the bankroll out with me tonight.

So tonight was the fantasy football draft, and someone said something about the strip club and something else. Long story short. I'm about to practice bad bankroll management. Have any of you done something similar? I see my poker money as fun money, and that is kinda the reason my bankroll doesn't grow to where I want it. Strippers, bikes, bars. Its all bad decisions, and its all happening tonight.

Holler!

Me , a friend and my brother in law between the 3 of us spent over 7500 at a strip club in Atlantsa when I lived there. Dumbest thing waqs my brother in law was so drunk he thought he should give one of the strippers his wallet to hold so he doesnt lose it. That was another 1200 gone for him lol

It was all good times(really good times) but once i decided to do this poker thing as a living i had to stop wastin it on booze and strippers(not pot luv it) but i say as long as u have money to pay ur bills and feed ur self have a ball

I probably passed right where you were the other day lol. There are about 4-5 of those places right in a row. There's the Cheetah.. can't remember the rest. I went in the Cheetah one night when I was about 20. My first time in one of those places. Ewwww..

Oh come on!!

You gotta be kidding. There are so many good places to waste your money. This is from a female perspective. Spending money on something that won't feel good the next day is like losing it at the poker tables. There is no win in strippers and booze.

Yeah, I did it in Vegas ('only' $1K). Bad move. I'm still a little sick about it.

The problem with this ^^ is that strippers in a club can't even be considered "rentals". Its more like going into the new car showroom and only being able to touch the fenders, but still walk out of there in debt.

Seriously... if you are going to "rent" then at least get a BJ (edit: heh... Blackjack=BJ) out of it.

For $1900 you can take a girl to Vegas for a couple of nights and play high roller:

air:

flight.JPG

get a "room":

room.JPG

rent a "car":

car.JPG

= $1658, with $252 left over to eat...

If you have a way to get free flights (air/credit card miles?) then you can even have some money to see a show, hit a club, and gambool a little (although hopefully you wont leave the suite, heh).

Choose wisely young grasshopper...

Aliengenius,

Much respect for that post. You are my new favorite poster on here.

Luckily for me, some of the booze wore off in between making that post (which I have to pat myself on the back for my grammar and spelling in that state) and getting to the club.

I still spent $300 but, it was well worth it. I had a problem with this strip club, pretty close to my house, and the times my poker game has been good, I would go there after every casino session.

I need to get to Vegas, I have been trying to make it out there for the past few months, and instead of just ended up in AC 3 times.

Anyway, had a good session tonight, and got my money back plus some. But this post is a pretty good example of my poor management skills. When I reach a milestone with the BR I like to spoil myself. I need to get a little more cash before I go out there. I want to get enough to play 5/10nl when I'm out there, and prevent myself from going broke, if it ends bad.

Vegas in October? Whos down, can't beat that price, (I won't get the car or high roller sweet)

ummmmmmmm, your 1900 dollars do what you want with it, i like seamless after dark in vegas, and 1900 doesn't last you as long as you think in vegas, that guys plan leaves you 232 dollars for a couple a days, good luck with that... waste your money, live with the consequences, make sure your lap dance and private room is totally worth it!

Holler!

I was going to say, yeah, I do it all the time.

But I read further, and no I don't do that kind of bad bankroll management.

My bad BRM consists of playing for larger stakes than I should. Sometimes I get bored ........

Defintly can spend a ton a money at a strip club....$1000 is minimum for say a bachelor party....just a room upstairs, 2 girls, and booze for a half hour cost $400 at a good club
