I know I should of handle myself better at Live Help from Pokerhost but read this...

Welcome to www.pokerhost.com. mac will be right with you.
mac
Welcome to PokerHost customer support! How may I help you?

twizzybop
yes you may

mac
May I please have your security answer?

twizzybop
out of curiosity.. money table.. when 2 playes go out at the same time.. how is position determined for 3rd?

mac
May I please have your security answer?

twizzybop
either you want to help me or you don't?

mac
Sure.

twizzybop
ok then

mac
I just need your security answer?

twizzybop
are you live help or not?

mac
Yes but I need to know you have an account with us.

mac
Please answer what is your favorite sport team?

twizzybop
lol so if I asked a question about this site.. I would need an account?

twizzybop
I have one granted but that has nothing to do with a question

mac
Please understand this how the site works. It is just to give a better service to our customers.

twizzybop
lol it isn't even about service

twizzybop
general question about the game

mac
I know but understand this is normal procedure.

mac
Need to ask you for your security answer.

mac
If you have an account an somebody else is using your user name would you like this?

twizzybop
Never mind then.. lol go through a hassel to get a questoned answered isn't worth it..

twizzybop
you can still get live help just by watching a table yes?

mac
Pardon me?

twizzybop
anybody in general can get live help by watch a table correct?

twizzybop
by watching sorry

mac
Yes. No problem.

twizzybop
so why would we need to worry about security when a question is asked?

twizzybop
I could see *if* my account was hacked or something of that nature

twizzybop
and I was asking about my account in general

mac
If your the owner of the account I think you will appreciate to know that we check that no one else is using your user name.

twizzybop
I'm not worried about it.. I know how to deal with fraud and such

twizzybop
tracing hackers and what nots

mac
Please understand this part of my job. And I have to ask this to all our players.

twizzybop
All I want is a simple question answered

mac
I know I understand. But I need to have the answer first.

twizzybop
I don't even get this hub-bub from the ebay live help

mac
Would you be so kind to help me on this?

twizzybop
Not really cause I won't jump through hoops to ask "You" a question

mac
Unfortunately sir then I am not allow to help you.

twizzybop
that will bold well by word of "Mouth" that says Pokerhost's Live help is not allowed to help me

mac
Sir let me try to help you?

twizzybop
I did allready

twizzybop
I asked a question and you never answered it.

mac
Basically I need your security answer.

twizzybop
you answered a question with a question

mac
Well in order to answer you the question I need to know I am giving the answer to customer.

twizzybop
doesn't look good on your part

twizzybop
lol why is it some sort of secret

mac
I really trying to help you. Would you allow me?

twizzybop
well is it?

twizzybop
cause if it is you definatly need to take out the part where I can send it to my e-mail

mac
Sure send the e-mail to supprot@pokerhost.com.

twizzybop
lol no mine silly

twizzybop
the place where I log my ID and e-mail to actually start this live help

twizzybop
it has this nice little box you check if you want this particular conversation e-mailed to yourself

twizzybop
Which then of course I could show everyone the "little secret" you will tell me

mac
Sure. Just click on it to request it.

mac
May I ask do you want my help?

twizzybop
Of course I do just waiting for you to answer

mac
May please have your security answer?

mac
May I ask why you do not want to give your security answer?

twizzybop
If you really don't know the answer then say so.. nothing wrong in admitting you don't know. I do it all the time when volunteering my time down on the Ebay Discussion Help boards

mac
I know the answer sir.

mac
But I need you to please tell me you security answer.

twizzybop
cause you are live help.. you make it seem like you are supposed to keep everything a secret

twizzybop
I don't want to jump through hoops to get 1 questioned answered

mac
Well sir would you like my help?

twizzybop
you answer the question and I go on my merry way, simple as that

twizzybop
I figured tallking to suppport was supposed to be easier and faster then actually writing to you in an e-mail

mac
Well please understand our procedures. If you are unable to answer the security answer this means this is not your account. So we need to take special measure regarding to this account. Because some one may want to have access to it.

twizzybop
Then let me worry about that

twizzybop
you remind me of my bank

mac
Sure I just need your security answer.

twizzybop
is that your answer?

twizzybop
if it is I will still go on my merry way

I allready went through hoops to get there as you initially read. I put my nickname and e-mail in before I even talked to Live help. Yet they want me to tell them my security answer before they help me. Sort of reminds me of getting customer service on the phone now a days. Please press #2 to go here then after that you need to press #5 to get to there. Yet then after that you have to press #3 to finally get a customer rep.

Yet I know that answering the security question would have got me the answer but I just won't cause it had nothing to do with my account in general. Never seen Live Help so anal about answering 1 question. Well in my opinion anyway. Just asking for suggestions on how to go about it next time Cause I know when I get in my stubborn mood, I just won't budge an inch.

Don't see why you didn't just answer him in the first place :/

Would have saved you both some time ;]

For the record, if you still need to know the answer let me know.

Nah.. from the info I had before asking the question. It was me even though we both had 0 chips.

Agreed it would have both saved us some time but more time would have been more saved if he answered the question to begin with. LOL Now I just give them my security answer even before asking any questions to eliminate such hassel.

Well the guy is a bot of an idiot i agree, but if you had just anwered his question then it would have made both of your lifes a lot easier and it would have saved you a lot of arguing time, next time just participate with him, after all he was just doing his job.

ROFL, you're one stubborn sob, Twiz :-)

The worst is, I can see myself doing something similar if I were annoyed enough...

I have tried to put money in my poker host account one time. I got no where with it, now I only play freerolls or play money for the practice. I will not be putting any money into it now. As far as the security question goes...was there a fair amount of money difference or what that promted all this to begin with?

I belong to another forum and POKERHOST supports us 100%. They even match our freerolls with whatever amount that we put up. I don't know what happened with you but we have had such good luck and alotta fun from POKERHOST.

TWIZZLEPOP SOUNDS LIKE YOU WERE LOOKING FOR TROUBLE! You ruined someone's day who is trying to make a living. Sounds like you got a thrill out of irritating the guy. You need to get a life.

Well good for you, you want a cookie or bozo button? #1 It is called customer service. I am glad you like pressing #1 on your phone to press #2 then finally #4 to actually get service.

#2 Ruined someones day? No matter if they answer 1, 20 or 0 questions they get payed to do customer service. Weither it be using automated answers that are printed in front of them or not. They get payed per hour not by how many automated answers they produce.

#3 And for your information about getting a life, I have been back recently to the live help with a few other questions and have had the same person once out of those few times. To be exact about Paypal *if* you are paying attention to the thread that is about Paypal. Gave my security answer before it is even asked to get through the mumble jumble and I told them they were doing a great job. So before you make any more assumptions, you do know what happens when you make assumptions. Yep I am sure you do, so please don't go throwing stones when you live in a glass house.
Which do you prefer to be the pot or the kettle? Cause both are black.

I can't believe the support person stayed on line with you that long. Hell, it was all I could do just to read the entire transcript! I would have cut you loose long before the end of that nonsense if I was the CSR on the other end. And why would you waste all of that time to joust with a windmill? Apparently, there are a few of my Cardschat brethren who could use another hobby or two to keep them entertained and occupied. Grow up, for pete's sake!

After a pokerhost rep contacted me, I've tidied this thread up, I seem to have missed it when it was originally posted. The actual thread is fine, but some replies were not, it's fair when you have a complaint like twizzybop, but when another member comes and posts offensive and uncalled for comments about the poker room, then it that's not OK. roanan, please don't let it happen again.

I apoligize and I am sorry to whom I may have offended. It isn't fair to them or you.
That was why I let this thread die cause I knew I was wrong. Just got defensive cause I didn't get the response I wanted, however I should have known when I asked for opinions. That is what they were, opinions. Again I am sorry.

My point wasn't to you, yours is fine that's why I left the thread. It was someone else who replied and totally slagged pokerhost off.

Oh nick, it was geared towards those who gave opinions. I rattled back at them with piss and vinegar. I understood what you meant but I wanted those to know who I rattled that I was and am sorry.

Twizzy - I'm sure on another given day - you would have complied. I've had those days where if someone just looks cross-eyed at me - watch out. LOL Next time, just give them the info and breathe!

I had a bad experience with Noble C.Service - she was the smart alec and when I said I'd report her - she said go ahead - so I did. Noble appologized for her behavior. Wish they would have deposited a few buck in my account for my mental beating! If that woman is the norm for representatives of their C.S. - they have problems.

i have played at pokerhost and everytime i talked to support i got nothing but the upmost respect out of the live help ... and i agree that as being a member and real money acctt holder that we as players r paying there salary to help us when we need help !!! but from what i seen in the transcript you were totally out of line by not complying with a security answer even though u had a petty question they have to abide by protocol of their job and u were trying to buck the system it seems to me ... at any rate you have apologized but iknow that i feel good about the integrity of site unlike another site i posted acomment and asked for comments on as well.... so if you see the post of mine on pokerroom.com please reply...any1 is welcome too...swervin4 out spreading the karma

its nonsense to call answering a security question, "jumping through hoops". it's as simple as entering your password when logging in.
