I just turned 18, can I now legally play for money? I just turned 18, can I now legally play for money or can I now legally play for fun. I just want to make sure before I try and put $150 in that when I try to cash out they say I'm to young. Does being 18 simply mean that I would be ineligible to enter satellite tournaments to win real tourney seats?

You can play online and cash out when you're 18. If you win a live seat that is played in the US then you need to be 21 to play but I think they just credit you with the money in most cases if you are not old enough. You can win a live seat for Europe and play it as it is 18 years of age to play live here.

In the states you can... except for a few, I can't remember which... but anyways, I started playing poker online when I was 18... fun but dangerous, I think its tough to be mature enough at 18 to really play poker, the people that do it turn out amazing at the game though. Everyone else (including myself) are only fair micro players or donkeys.

Two of the Indian casinos that are close to me here in Ohio are Turning Stone in NY and Soaring Eagle in Michigan. Both you only need to be 18 to play in their poker rooms. Now fortunately (or unfortunately) I am well past 18, LOL, so I am not limited to the Indian casinos but I do have a friend who is a very very good player who is only 18 and we made a trip to Turning Stone this past summer. We had a good time as he met two other friends who are also under the age of 21 there. All 3 very good players and well above me level of play. Pssstt.... psssttt.... Absoluthamm........ its been since May.... when ya gonna update the blog?

Haha, yea, I need to. Maybe today. Time has gotten away from me and just about any real free time I've had(except for the time for my tiny posts here that is ) has been playing poker. I've got some free time right now so maybe I'll try to get something up. I want to keep it more updated, but sometimes it's hard to find things to write besides..."Yep, won 3 BI's tonight" or "Yep, lost 3 BI's tonight" lol.
