I hate my luck

I was having an awesome night in the Titan points tourney until this happened

Guy ahead of me raised about 4xBB I had AQs so I called and flopped the nuts straight and raise, he moves in (he has more than me) I call he has trip kings turn brings a boat and I miss the money by 2 places. Phenominal poker on my behalf but I have terrible luck

Then tonights 8:30 freeroll: have pocket Js and raise to 5xBB, this donk calls with 35s and flops a gutshot with flush draw and I move in with overpair to the board and he calls and I take it hard on the turn when he hits his flush. And to top that the river makes him a straight flush.

To reiterate my luck sucks really bad no matter how good I play.

Thats online poker for ya. Same thing happens to me but, you gotta learn if you are in a tourney and go all-in you have a 50/50 chance of getting knocked out no matter what cards come. why? cuz its online and anything can happen when the board isn't complete. If I go all-in in a tourney and someone calls I win 5% if it was pre-flop, 10% flop, 30% turn, and 55% river. It may be cause I'm very unlucky too but online poker is based on bad beats and I'm just expecting them every hand.

Who was the donk at the freeroll, do you remember? I lost with Pocket Jacks too on that freeroll and the one that called me had 6, 8 suited.

Its short term luck, but mathematrically speaking your gonna be a winner in the long run, so you shouldnt worry about it, and in the scenario where he had a gut shot plus a flush draw he had around 14 outs, you just cant push all in , you need to bet it strong and be carefull . The guy who made the boat was very luck as he was a big underdog ( 6-1 ) 3 tens , 3 J and 1 K for quads , if you keep playing that way you will be a winner in the long term , dont feel bad ^_^

I wish I had tagged the donk t1riel, but didnt sorry. The AQ dont bother me as much as the Jacks do. We were basically 1:1 in chips and he called 4500 after the flop. I was expecting trips until I saw the gs+f draw and was amazed at how stupid this guy was until Im observing the game.

you made a play and lost just the same as he made a play and won but don,t confuse plays with some one who,s a donk they are rarely the same and i have to say t1riel is a much respected member of this forum.
