Nice read, especially because he didnt put out one of those over the top type of bets. In that case, the only way it probably would have worked would have been with a giant bluffbet. (Edit: just noticed he was shortstacked, so he should of just called. If he wanted to bluff (semi-bluff?), he should of just shoved. imo) I wish I could see their faces sometimes when you press call and they are like "damn!".

re: I guess I'm still Crazy/Bad/Good Reader poker 1. A jack does the same thing. If you remember I liked your last call. Not so much here. If he had history being extremely aggressive maybe you were justified, but many people will do this with hands that beat yours here. Not so much in the last one, making the last one a good call I thought. Here I think a straight does this, checking the turn to "slow-play" (it's still 50nl, don't expect them to be logic experts). And of course after you check both turn and river it's obvious you don't have the straight, you'd be value betting the river, so a J would obviously assume they're good. 2. Don't say things like "I knew it". It's obvious you knew it (or at least thought it) because you made the call. Saying things like this is just being a jerk imo.

Yes I can understand what your saying Zach, I dind't really have too much notes on him but It had to do with how much time he took, although, many take more time in deception to fool you as a psychological move, but I guess I mainly went with my gut. I was a little excited I called with A high, I think that's why I said that but I'll keep what you said in mind, I think it's best just to not say anything and be nonchalant about it anyways.
