Huge happenings possible 11/6/06....

Pokernews.com is reporting that Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet may announce as soon as Monday that the 2 outfits are merging - although the poker operations will be separate for the time being. This would be a huge move by the 2 companies - I just hope they keep AP's interface and bonus structure over UB's.

never been the biggest fan of that ultimate interface. its like playing poker on a zx81.

I kinda like UB but there are way too many morons over there. Not fish or donks...just the plain morons.

I have to agree with Jimbo, there are alot of just plain morons who play there, the very last time I played there I sat at a table with a player who had a decent chip lead over the other players, and soon I found out how he got that lead.............he would go all-in at every hand preflop regardless of what he was holding.
and if you have ever met a player like that ( I'm pretty sure most have) you'll agree that it takes the fun out of the game.
As for the possible merge, hope it all works out for them.

I think it maybe time for me to research Absolute if this infact comes into effect. I really liked UB's bonus structure and the fact it has no time limit on it. What I don't like is their lack of SnG variety in anything not NLHE...

Be interesting to see how they work it out if and when they merge the sites. The styles are radically different.

I agree with Bkry and Welly that AP`s interface is much better.

What will they do about those of us who have accounts with both, I wonder ?
