Huge Bad Beat Jackpots I've seen some huge bad beat jackpots on Absolute and Ultimate. I haven't played any of the ring games where you can win these as I'm primarily a MTT and SnG player. I'm assuming that the sites take out a sizeable piece of every pot to built those jackpots. I was wondering if anyone knows the odds of hitting one and how bad the rake in these ring games hurts your earning potential?

bad beat jackpots well first off these bad beat jp's are almost impossible to hit. the typical bb jp in a brick and mortor casino is aces full of queens or better beaten by 4 of a kind or better. bb jp's online are are typically 4 of a kind or better beaten by 4 of a kind or better. all in all it makes sense to make it harder online to hit these bb jp's because online play is so much faster and more hands are dealt.

UB takes out $.50 from any pot over $5 to add to the bad beat jackpot. When someone wins it, they get a certain percentage of the jackpot, the person who won the hand gets some and everyone who is playing at that level gets some. For example if it's at the $50NL all players playing $50NL would share part of the jackpot. When they have Cereus in play the bad beat jackpots will be huge since it will combine the UB and AP players and jackpots.
