How would you like to lose?

I know that no one likes to finish out of the money but if you had to how would you rather do it.

WAAAYYYY to close to home, hate playing excellent poker for 3 hours or so and going out on the bubble with a big hand. Lost a live game on the bubble with KK last night, the other donk even got a round of applause for beating me.

I want to finish on the bubble every time. At least you know you played solid poker and just got unlucky at the wrong time. I love playing and would do as long as possible every time. Superman said it best.

If iv got the best cards when the chips are in i dont count it as a loss even if i loose the pot. I dont even think about it as a loss. To me the turn and river are inconsequential. If i know i had the better hand and called down the trash iv already won even if its not on that occasion. (its going to be tomorrow)

If I had to lose, then I guess on the bubble...perhaps then I would have learned something from the experience. More likely than not, I would be banging my head against the desk instead due to a huge hand getting sucked out on by some dipshit.

Eh, may as well go out early if you're going to go out penniless.

I voted and honestly would rather be drunk and not remember anything
But, since I don't drink but once in a great while I would have to say heartbreakingly on the bubble...........which I usually do quite a bit(except lately)

It's not when I lose that I give the thought to. It's how I lose. If I have KK and the flop shows 5,7,9 rainbow and I go all in and someone calls and catches runner runner to beat me, I'm going to be irritated whether at the beginning, middle or end of the tourny. However, if someone catches a set of 9's under the same circumstances, I chalk it up to "that's poker" and move on.

Absolutely heartbreaking and on the bubble! I need to learn and this will do it. I would know I played some good poker to get to that position. And going out on the bubble means you're still being aggresive at that point in the game. If you don't go out you double up (at least) and now you are a force to rekon with!

Nice thread Brianna. What is your answer?

I get anoyed with all the options. I really think I would rather go Quickly so I can play another. Going out in the middle like I did last nite at the PFC really sucked. On the bubble is really heartbreak for me. I boil for a long time. Now let's get to the option I voted for. I drink quite a bit, at least a pint of vodka a day. On days where I drink more I get sloppy, but don't piss and moan as much about my losses no mater how they came. Funny story. I was at Stars one nite and got piss drunk. I got into a $1 MTT and got 3rd. When I woke up the next day my table had been closed and I had to look at the results to see where all this money came from in my account.LOL I didn't even gloat about the win. So that just proves that I would rather be drunk so these tourneys don't eat at me either way. Thanks for asking Sammy I didn't realize I forgot to put my answer in. See silly alcohol.

What an ironic statement this is, since this very thing happened shortly after I made this post. Never fails... playing a MTT SNG at Pokertime (30 players), been somewhere in the top 3 most of the game. Hit final table, get dealt 4/4 on the button. Make a small preflop raise (no Dorkus, it was not a minimum raise! ), all but one (small blind) folds. Flop is 3, 4, 6 two cards suited. I've flopped my set, but there is the straight draw and a flush draw possibility, so I push a large bet out, putting SB all-in should he call (he had made minimum bet after flop). He calls, turns over A8...not of the suits on board, and gets.......you guessed it--four cards for a straight! I could not believe it.

So now, I've gone from 3rd in chips to last...with about 900 chips remaining. I play patient, on the verge of tilting, but swallowing my pride and biding my time where I can make my move. It soon comes by way of pocket Jacks. Only to get called by pocket Kings and knocking me out on the bubble! ARGH!!!!

I swear this happens to me EVERY FREAKIN' TIME I play in a MTT. Get killed by a suckout, leaving me crippled only to have a decent hand get squashed by another monster sitting right next to me when I decide to make my move. I actually went all-in once with QQ, only to have the peeps on either side of me call w/ KK on one side, and AA on the other--again on the bubble!

So sorry to ramble on and on, but this just really pissed me off today as this has been happening A LOT lately. If you see something that I did wrong in the above rambling, please let me know!

Quick and painless for me please

At least i could then find another game or a SnG and take out my frustrations on others and feel better when they have been swept aside and i've come out on top (hopefully lol)

Made more bubbles than a bubble making factory on overtime

I see your problem. You were sober. The key to life may not be in the bottom of a bottle, but the key to poker is.

If I'm going out I prefer to not remember a thing about it...although since I dont drink 7 nights a week thats not possible.Could be the reason I usually have to give lap dances for chips just so that I dont go out before 1st break!!! j/k ....Seriously,take me out now..plz oh plz dont take me out 1 out of the money ESPECIALLY after sitting on my ass for 3 hours!!

Neither - I hate to lose

But I do all the time!

I don't mind losing with what I think is an unbeatable hand.

The other day I was playing in a tourney, I had 3 aces. I was holding A-9. The flop threw out a 4. I just knew I had this guy beat!

He turn over a full house - fours over aces!

ok, ok that was ok, I wasn't going to tilt--right.

Went on the very next tourney..

Went out again on trips! Damn full house beat me again! I tilted! Turned off the computer and went to bed. Good Night.
