| How to sell Playchips Ok, the title of this thread maybe somewhat misleading as I have no first hand knowledge of selling playchips. I have seen a lot of threads just today asking can you and how to. I came across this thread http://www.cardschat.com/f13/can-you...y-real-107108/ which had a few answers in it. If anyone else has some solid places that buy or info of how to sell them please post. |

| re: How to sell Playchips poker All that aside, apparently people really do buy them. We're talking amounts like $10 real money for $1 million play chips or something though, so keep it in perspective. No idea about how you line something like that up. |

| The selling of playchips a couple of years ago caused Ultimate Bet to make a change in the way you can transfer playchips to another person. Before the change you could send unlimited amounts, now you can only send 50,000 per day. Check Ebay, that's where the playchip sales for UB were. 20 million for $200 and yes, everytime you listed them they sold. On UB you could and still can create as many accounts as you want, so you create a new account, send yourself 50k a day until you have enough to go play in the 1000/2000 NL tables, then build it up to the 20 million mark in a day or so. You can only have 21.4 million per account, if you go over and they notice it, they drop you back to 10 million. Not a big deal. Now you just create accounts with different names, emails and when you sell the playchips you sell the entire account to the person. You could seriously make more playing for playchips, building and selling than you could playing the 25 NL. No risk at all since all longtime UB players probably have 50 million in various accounts. Not that I would ever do such a thing mind you. I'm too bored to get into all that. |

| Multi-accounting to scam chips would probably sooner or later end up in an IP ban, who knows. Weigh your options. The play chip scam, which could be very profitable, or the possibility that you can't play online poker at any major site and withdraw winnings. Possibly blacklisted. Ebay. Get more for your money as long as you don't care that you'll be getting paid via paypal and you're not getting PS real money in return most of the time. |

However, I`m still struggling with `why` would they want to buy playchips??? I`m lost I could count on the fingers of one hand how many times I have played `playchips` so forgive me if I`m missing something. Can you win something with playchips??? |

About a month later I was in the millions, in the heyday of the playchip sales. The best place to go was the 1k/2k Omaha, it was just a pure luck thing because everyone would go in for 200,000 preflop. Sometimes go all in for millions preflop. I remember more than once having to dump chips just to keep my account under 21.4 million. You used to earn actual points on UB for playing playchips, 1 point per hour. Not sure if that's true, I haven't played with them for awhile now. 250 pts = $1 for a tourney buyin. The reason people bought them is to be "cool" and play at the highest level tables they had on there. Most of them were so bad that even with the 20 million they bought, they were out of chips in a week or two. I know of one person who ended up buying chips 4 times before he quit. |
