yea he should have re raised u like 2 or 3$ pre flop and u got very lucky even though he played em bad pre flop it was a good move on flop to push all in and u made a call with top pair and just got lucky. it probably wasnt the best way to play kings but then again u did get lucky

re: How NOT to play pocket Kings > poker no actually I have just been playing on Stars long enough to know that K/K sucks...lmao i would love to play against ya...yes i agree that he should have re raised u and i bet u wouldnt fold on flop either. maybe u would but i dont think so since u said u would of still called pre flop even if he re raised ya and dont think u would fold on flop with top pair. im thinking u would of put him on AQ or Ak and still called.

if I lead out on the flop and he repops me hard...I'm gone...assuming he had fired out a big pre flop raise...I would give him respect and lay it down giving him credit for an overpair. The way he played this should be a lesson is exactly not how to slowplay..limping KK under the gun is retarded...especially in a micro cash game....late stage tourney with huge blinds...then maybe I can see limping to trap...but even then it would have to be a full table or I am raising. |

Your first hand Let me see, you put all your money in with top pair and an 8 kicker. He played the check/raise and you go over the top? Most people have dreams of this happening. He had you smoked and you caught 1 of 5 outs to beat him. You put all your money in with a 20% chance to win. Who played it bad? Thread should be how not to play 87 unless holding a horseshoe made of 4 leave clovers. Second hand. He has you drawing to 3 cards and you catch. Hmmm. You did get unlucky facing a big pocket pair when you pushed but I understand your need to push. Nice catch and move on. I am more curious how you are down to 330 of 1500 at the second blind level? You third hand. Yet another suckout. You are the king of them I guess. You just keep reraising with bottom pair and he keeps calling. Must have had a great read to know he will call reraises with nothing otherwise you are donking off most of your stack with only 3 cards to save you on the river. IMO, you keep playing like this and your money will disappear sooner or later. Last edited by titans4ever : 28th July 2007 at 7:16 AM.

Titans I just suggest you choose your words carefully before you imply that I am a donkey. Trust me there is a method to the madness. I lose plenty of pots but I think a 73% ROI is a decent enough win rate over the last couple of years to have earned the right to post some questionable plays. Its all for the sake of entertainment value anyway. I apologize for not playing like a bot...I like to get creative sometimes and yes I love snapping off big hands and firing triple barrels with air. It makes me happy Here is a special token of my appreciation. Regardless of Ripptyde's blatantly questionable play, LuckyLarry limped with KK and should hang his head in shame.

I never said you were a donkey! YOU posted 2 of 3 hands that you played poorly and are trying to make it look like you knew you would win. What am I suppose to say. I am just saying that you keep putting your money like that is not positive EV plays and making sure others see it too. Long term it looks like you are doing well but in this thread you look like you are just on a lucky streak. All three of those hands should have ended the other way and you are railing every time. Your good day was not based on solid plays. How did Larry play his KK bad? He got someone to overcommit with top pair. How is it bad to get all your money into the middle with and 80% chance to win? How can you play it wrong when you get someone esle to put all of your money in when BEHIND? He did not win but over the long hall that play will win alot more money than he will lose. You are only looking at it from the results after you sucked out on him . On the flop he had you smeared and you put all your money in. Any pocket pair over 7 had you beat. I still think you played that hand worse than Larry. He did not play his KK textbook and you mock him. In the next breath you say that is how you love to play. Look in a mirror. He played a hand differently than books say and should have been payed off and you make fun of him. I say you played it worse than him and you get mad at me? I was just pointing out that you were not playing those hands very well. I can start posting a bunch of my hands where I make horrible reads and suck out too but I won't say the other person is and idiot or played it badly. Why not say oops, I got lucky here. The heads up one can go either way and I said that the first time. You pot committed yourself with bottom pair when he called a reraise on the flop. I understand if you said something like I thought he was on a draw and boy did I get lucky catching one of my 5 outs. Your stats are impressive and it looks like LAG is working for you. Don't go around trying to make some else look bad when you played the hand worse than him and suck out. I will gladly take that flop and his hand every time. P.S. You are the one posting these hands for us to look at. If you don't like someone pointing something out about your play then don't post them. This is a learning forum and others have a right to say something that might improve your or someone elses game. I was just stating that there was another way to look at the hand besides who is raking in the pots. Last edited by titans4ever : 28th July 2007 at 4:35 PM.
