How Much Money Did You Make...
So my question is how much money did you make the first time you play with real money at any poker site.
Second question how were you able to do so. Well the first time i deposited money at full tilt poker which was 10 dollars i was able to make 1100 dollars in my first week of playing. The way i able to do this was making guidelines to my bankroll. I would never play more than 20% of my total bankroll and playing conservatively. I usually joined tables with no more than 6 players but found out that playing with more people can be much more lucrative so I started playing in tables with 9 players total. After I made my first 100 dollars i started to move up in the stakes to .1 and .25 and then when i made 300 dollars i started playing heads up and mixing up my game from there on out. The first time i deposited money on pokerstars which was also 10 dollars I was able to make 150 dollars before i decided to cashout I was able to do so by finding tables with 1 or 2 players in it and grinding out the blinds i would try to find the conservative players so i could start stealing the blinds. By no means was i bluffing every hand but i just raised the standard raise with a marginal hand. Every single time i was up a dollar i would leave the table and rejoin another table with the same amount of money i bought in at the other table. Doing so i was able to quadruple my bankroll and there i was able to play real cash games with more players. |

Intersting thoughts. The first part was probs just a lucky run, no offence but turning $10 into $1100 can only ever be running hot and usually bad BRM.
People are always asking what to do with a very small cash in a freeroll however and the second part of your post seems like a reasonable way to build a bankroll to where you can actually play properly. |

I wouldn't call it a lucky run it was more of playing well it wasn't like i turned 10 dollars into 1000 in one day it took a week of hard work and i didn't reach 100 dollars until my third day of playing so i was building me bankroll very slowly and then it exploded from their on out it felt that I played against the worst poker players on the face of the planet.

yeah I agree Wall it took me a month to get from 10 to 20 on FT. I do have a wife and 2 kids so I can't spend 20 hours a day playing but I would say 10 to 100 in 3-4 days is not slow by any means. The only way you might call it slow if you were grinding out pennies only to win a MTT and have that power you over 100.
