How many tables do you play at?

I've been playing online poker for a couple of months now , and I usually can play at 2 tables at once, but I'm the type of player that needs to concentrate. I've heard that some people can play at like 5-7 tables at once. So, the question is how many tables do you usually play at...or what is your max you've played at once? Thanks.

I have the same problem with table jumping. I fold the wrong one or call the wrong one. Play money or free rolls are fine, but real games or serious events I have to focus and stick to 1.

I usually play live, I get to tired running between tables, so I stick to one. Plus people may complain because they can't look at my ugly mug to see if I'm bluffing or just out of breath.

Online I limit myself to one or two. I think you miss to much on the table if you play more. You are restricted to ABC poker since you miss alot of showdowns to see what people are playing with.

hi everyone, first post, but iv got to start somewhere and this thread cought my eye.
Iv been playing poker again for about 2weeks now (after a 12month break) so iv just been playing the freeroles and trying to get back in to the swing ov the game.
Playing the freeroles, i dont think it matters how many you play at once. On the freeroles i play ultra tight, and usualy thats enough for a good position becuase everyone else makes a lot of mistakes.
Iv actually found the more i play at once the higher my positions. I think this is becuase if im playing more, il fold more.
Todays results are the best iv had, and i had the most games playing at one time (6-7). Just runs into problems when im down to around the last 100 becuase i cant keep track of the hands different players play and how they play them.
7 might sound excessive, but iv got a decent size monitor and i can get the screen to 1200x1600 whilst maintaining a visible size. (couldnt do it on a 15inch)
it does impact on the game though having so many on at once.
for normal none freeroles i wouldnt play more than 4 becuase after 4 the tables begin to overlap. (need duel monitors realey)

gl everyone, and wish me luck tomorow. (i want to get 7 Absolute Poker freeroles going at one time)

Serious money..only 1.But in a freeroll, 2-3 although I've gotten my ass busted soo many times by clicking on the wrong screen...and oops!!!! Happened once @ Noble in a ring game, down to my LAST $38 @ the site, got 2 freerolls going as well, meant to go all-in @ Absolute and hit Noble instead ...How anyone can keep up with numerous tables and not make a mistake is beyond me!!

Have to admitt I've tried to play several tourneys at once but find it hard to give my all to one game when it goes from one to the other. I've decided to just play and concentrate on one game at a time.

I once accidentally got involved in three tourneys at once, which I don't care to repeat. I was actually doing pretty well in two of the three, though, and cashed in one. Two seems manageable; above that, my concentration on the games is compromised enough that I wouldn't want to do it.

Besides, if it's my turn on multiple tables at the same time, I'm making other players wait somewhere, which isn't terrific.

mmmm freeroles

on a 21 inch screen at 1200x 1600 you can still make out the cards and have the games running with no overlap, so no screens popping up and nmo annoying all in. (still happens at 7's) only freeroles lol.

although...

party poker beta (might already been mentioned) is trying to allow players to split the game window into 4 tables. (couldnt follow individual play, but u might not need if the seats always changing in mtt's?)

i had 5 absolute freeroles going @ once. I want the max 7. (just so i can say i did) - they should offer a prize for players who can get 7 absolute freeroles going at once. lol. Wouldnt happen often.

Just 1 now no matter what.. make mistakes constantly cause having to go back and forth. I have done 5 at 1 time and it was definatly interesting.. but just 1 now so I can concentrate.

usually two tables if its 6 player tables ( i have 2 monitors ) but if i play 10 player tables i usually take two ten seaters + one 6 seater ( and if theres a freeroll somewhere i put this on my other screen so its then 4 tables at a time ) .

Usually only one; it is too hard for my little brain to focus and concentrate otherwise. I will play two sometimes but then I find I miss some important stuff about the players and what they are calling, etc., start getting stressed when I hear the little "dings" saying it is my turn, and then I don't do as well.

I do have a "bad habit" of checking the forum etc while I am playing though.... in fact i am in a $1 tourney on RV atm

4 tables if its limit, but for NL I'm not so sure. Once lost $60 going all-in preflop by mistake with 25os

I've played 4 tables at once just to see what it's like. You definately fold more of the marginal / crappy hands, cause out of the 4, there is at least one good hand to play with... I still prefer one at a time, maybe two...

One is my limit and it always will be. Jumping back and forth just breaks my concentration. I think Nick! is my new hero however, as I certainly believe he plays at 6 $20/$40 tables at the same time. At the modest amount of 25xBB per table, he'd only have about $6,000 tied up at any one time which is certainly a modest sum for a player of his stature...
