how long have you been playing poker?

I am curious how long everyone has been playing, and how much of profit you have made.
I am trying to understand the correlation between the two.

anyways I'll start, I have been playing for three months total and have gone from $0 to $20 without depositing.

No seriously though, since early November or so online.

I been playing some form of poker my entire life, mostly 5 card draw and video poker.

I have only been playing holdem for 6 months though.

I haven't done too badly, although initially when I started playing holdem online, I blew wads of cash then took a break to read books and learn more.

Since then I have made a number of final table finishes in very large fields (1300+) and I win one or 2 90 player $10 sng's a week.
I've won countless other $2 rebuys, 45 man sng's and single table sng's online.

Off line I have won and placed in small to medium sized tourneys.

I've pocketed over $2000 from online and about $1000 from live tourneys

I've played poker since early 2003. You'd be lucky to find a Hold'em game in a casino at the time though. Went to Montreal for a week to no avail at the casino - maybe didn't look hard enough there at the time.

I started playing online towards the Summer of 2003. Cousin put the thought in my mind and checked it out. Started out at PokerRoom - took advantage of a first deposit bonus to start off my miniscule bankroll (I was and still am a student). Didn't do to well as I've gone broke a few times here and a couple of times over at UB which I picked up about a year-and-a-half after that.

Started getting serious around 2005. Played more, with family and went to the casinos a few times to see the difference b/w online and live play. I've done pretty well in casino ring games. Probably up at least $2000 playing 1-2NL or 5-10 Limit over that span.

Wish I had time and bankroll to play more live and online. Been trying to figure out why I can't bring my decent play to the online scene. Oh well, that's what practice and consulting others are for!

i've been playin online for a few weeks in freerolls, and have only made $0.37 haha

I've been playing since the start of the month, and have made about $90 from freerolls. ($80 from one, $10 from all the rest put together...)

Holdem since 1997 (wow 10 years already). Stud and Omaha since high school in 1990.

I have been playing Texas Holdem for about three years now.....about 1 year online and ive profited about 600 dollars atleast thats what it says on the officiall poker rankings site i think i made about 2100 on fulltilt maybe more but thats not profit lol.........
