How late is too late? I think late registration was a great invention! Being 1 or 2 minutes late for a good tournament used to absolutely BLOW!! Now its no problem, but I see PS has been running tourneys for a while where the registration stays open for an hour. I would never enter a tourney this late. If its already a couple of levels into it you come in at a disadvantage. The later you come in, the more the disadvantage. If you come in 45 mins into a turbo tournament you almost start shortstacked. Why would anybody do this????? So I ask you this: For you, how late is too late? For me its 2 levels. I like these cheap levels, I feel there important.

There have been several recent threads on this subject. Here's one of them... Pokerstars , "late registration" It helps to use the search feature here before starting a 'new' thread.

Full Tilt typically only allows Late Regiatration through the first level of blinds. This makes sense to leave it open for those running late and to enter as you are at no real disadvantage by this point. I have seen that the Daily Donker stays open until it fills up. Not sure why, other than to maximize the prize pool and profit.

re: How late is too late? poker i think 5 mins is enough time for late registration. Ive seen some tournys on FT and PS give as long as 30 mins for late registration in some of the garaunteed money tournys so that the garunteed $ wont have to come from them. I dont like more than 5 min late registration personally

Personally I think Fulltilt does Late Registration pretty well. I believe its the first level of blinds. (correct me if Im wrong). As JMTalbert said, Daily Dollar is the only one where it seems late registration is open for eternity.
