How do I take control of this scenario? I play at this game ( 2/5) where the players usally buy in at 100 and its atleast a table with 7 -10 players playing for the most part of the game. All familiar faces and some have obvious tells but a lot of players call because they feel ( pot committed when they really arent) Some will call just because they have an A and whatever. I feel like its madness at times , some players have reputation just for calling low cards ( example 2 and 5 off) just because three people ahead called a 75 pre flop raise ( they would later say they call because they figured everyone had high cards) AA get crack here more then a little bit. What turns this game "ugly " is when the players who calls whatever hits and have a big stack. Now they are over the table buy a lot and they actually call every hand. I just would like to know what would you do in this situation ( besides get up and leave, lol) The stacks doesnt always stay with that guy so my question is how do I become the guy to make the stack come my way. Honestly big pots with more then three people all in scare me.Its usually those pots when the stacks get big . which I dont mind not being in those pots because like I said either they get up and leave but most time they give it back. What hands would you stay away from, and what hands would you recommend calling? Also when I go up every once in a while, like Ill win big hand I see my stack go away as I try to play more hands since I have more money. Then I find myself being the low stack. Hope that some players have been through this and can assist me.

1st thing I need answered is this a cash table? I only cash cuz you state $2/$5 but your only playing with $100 so in that case wouldn't you all have 20BBs (Aren't you all playing short as it is)? I'd suggest if it's cash to make it 1/2? 2nd) Be happy that it's that loose, and just tighten your game up....So assume your in the BB with AA, and they all Limp 10x5=$50 in the Middle, You JUST Raise a big enough amount which they would be Wary of calling With a B.S hand (25o, or 910o or w/e), and if they all fold you win $50, but make sure your raise is BIG (Not so Much that you Scare them but enough to Charge them to see a Flop BTW 1 more thing in cash your never Low Stack as you Suggest cuz you can Just REBUY

Well, for one thing, I woudnt buy in with 100 at a 2/5 table, unless you are just short stcking and waiting for QQ-AA to double up or something. And at 7 bucks per orbit, you might not see it until you're blinded off....yu need to go down to 1/2 or buy in bigger at this level so you can call some of these raises in late position.

re: How do I take control of this scenario? poker Buy in for max ($500 at least), play very tight, play position, make pot sized or more than pot sized bets when you are ahead, don't bet when you are behind. Since the game is so loose, you need to play very tight and play position. AQo UTG = fold, AA on the BTN w/ 4 limpers = $50 bet etc. When you get a big stack don't open up except for suited connectors in LP when you are sure no one behind will raise.

| Tighten up and valuebet, value bet, Value Bet! Chances are you, like the rest of the table, are playing too loose. Quote:

This sounds like florida where the max buy in is very low compared to the game. If the fish has the money I would be 3 betting preflop alot trying to get them in good and flip with him ahead a few times til my stack got formitable, then tighten up and and value bet big hands after you have chips and a loser image.

I agree with previous posters, play tight and you should come out great here. I love the free-rolls sometimes because if I am feeling particularly patient, I do very well. Value-betting and sticking to a strict bet schedule may make you look predictable but in this situation, people will pay to see you beat them. Go clean it up!
