How did this person see my stats and BR

I had a situation on Pokerstars where I got into a small disagreement with a player. During our discussion, he starts talking about how much cash I've made on the site, how many final tables I've been at for MTT's and other things. Does anyone know what program this person was using? To be very honest, it's pretty disturbing to me that someone can find out this information. (not that I'm embarrassed by my results, it's just the point of having others access what should be private info)

I'm gonna guess he's just got some kind of logging program running. After all, anybody who plays with you on a table can see how much you're winning or loosing.

Hopefully he's just running something that keeps track of all the tables he's playing on, as a memory aid. My cynical side suspects that there may be software out there though that will watch all the tables on a site...

This is just speculation from a computer techie though, if I were you I'd wait for someone with more experience of poker sites to reply properly.

Yup, that looks like the info he was spouting off. That site could be useful since it tracks my ROI...which is looking pretty poor at PS right now.

Thanks a bunch for the info!

I've used shark scope before and would suggest that if you do use it, take it with a grain of salt. I know they take their data from PS public data, but their reports aren't completely accurate. According to them, I've played in 12 tournies. That isn't correct according to my personal records. So therefore the stats you see are wrong too as they apply to whichever 12 tournies were picked up and being used for me. From a personal perspective, I'm actually glad my stats don't truly reflect reality. From a privacy perspective, why is it okay for a commercial site to harvest tourney data and make it available to everyone, but it is frowned upon if someone wants to do something similar for themselves with Poker Tracker?

Never used pokerdb that TB mentioned, but I did a quick search there and didn't find myself. Will have to go back and make sure I didn't typo anything.

JD, you do know sharkscope tracks SnGs only? Although they used to be a bit off the mark occasionally a while back, they're now pretty much completely accurate.

Well, maybe I didn't exactly know that. Clarify for me, please...SNG only? Or does that include scheduled MTTs and such?

I'm not so sure it is? Someone should check the privacy statement when signing up to a company. I wonder if it's stated they will not sell your info... I think it was..."tournament reporter" or something similar to that name... is no longer existant. Probably got shut down when someone from one of the poker companies found out about it...
