How cards get played a different limits.

Hesh brang this up so I made it a topic. The way tables are played when the limits are high and low. I was saying how when I'am not doing so well I play free or penny tables for practice but as we all know it's almost impossible to have a good game at a play table or low limit unless you find a good table, most players at the play tables have an attitude like "It's free I'am not losing anything all-in every hand" bingo players, so annoying but I guess thier right? I mean they really aren't losing anything but it's so aggervating when you just need to tighten up your play without losing your bankroll. Gumble also brang up that there are still a lot of people that play the high tables like they are low limits or free. Which can come in as a bonus for you. Just wanted to see others feed back on this, how others felt and if you've been in my shoes.

I wish that micro-stakes were like play money tables... Maybe 10 years ago, 2NL&5NL were like that, but nowadays there are at least 2 people on the table who don't stack off with anything less than TPTK...

I am playing NL10 atm and there you will find all kind of people at the tables. Total crazy Maniacs as well as good tight agressive players.
I cannot compare to higher limits, because of strict BRM.

yeah, I know.. there's always 1 or 2 idiots per table who do this, however half of the field is solid nowadays and they don't stack off with middle pair or top pair with no kicker... I keep hearing from 200NL+ players that micros are very easy, but their experience is from 2005-2006 when all people at the table were seeing flops and didn't know what the fold button does.

Well, it's still easy to beat micros, but it's hard to beat them quickly with a huge winrate as it used to be 5 years ago.

I can't really compare to 5 years ago but I think your opinion is well balanced. FWIW I spend much more time looking for the idiots because otherwise it's almost always a near to break even session.

This is normal in micro during the week, but try playing in the week-end..

Yeah I've also noticed that the skill level is lower in the evenings (Europe time) compared to during the day, but I guess it's to be expected, regs will play at any time.

there is no reason to play for play money ... carbon has freerolls every 4 hours and step sng-ladder tourneys 24/7 ... yes will encounter some annoying play early on ... but once you start closing in on a real payout ... all of a sudden people start playing for real

intertops has 2 freerolls per day ... 250 entrants, 8 places paid

along with others ... playing true play money won't help your game much, IMO

I have been going back and forth with the 2-4 cent blinds.. in fear that the GREAT US GOVERNMENT will seize the site i am on now. So with that being said when I play live i play 1-2 200 max buy in cash games.
WOW ... i cannot get anywhere online with the 2-4 .. people follow and suck out on you left and right and its horrible... I will be up 20 dollars on day and back down to 5 the next from the bb and suckouts ...
For example.. I would have AK or KK in late and 3 bet pre-flop.. one caller.
Flop comes 722 . I fire a second round and get called... i am thinking ok I got this guy following me with AK ... turn comes down 5 .. he pushes all in i call.. he has 7 2... that would happen VERY rare in higher stakes..
