| How can people be so....stupid I was playing a 8$ 18man tourney where the top 5 got a 24$ token and 6th got 14$. I was most likly going out on the next hand if this guy had just folded his hand, but he couldnt fold AA and i got a token. Can any one explain his thought process? He was guaranteed(as much as i possible in poker) to tie for first why whould he do something as stupid? And i love the the big stack 84o push Full Tilt Poker Game #7703016048: Tier One $8+$0.70 (Turbo) (58583869), Table 2 - 600/1200 - No Limit Hold'em - 18:00:42 ET - 2008/08/18 Seat 3: Sindri_93 (550) Seat 4: MadSwan (1,980) Seat 6: micdavmat (6,480) Seat 7: FillmoreEast (11,264) Seat 8: Heywood Usueme (2,220) Seat 9: djnoj510 (4,506) Heywood Usueme posts the small blind of 600 djnoj510 posts the big blind of 1,200 The button is in seat #7 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Sindri_93 [7h Ks] Sindri_93 folds MadSwan folds micdavmat folds FillmoreEast raises to 11,264, and is all in Heywood Usueme folds djnoj510 calls 3,306, and is all in FillmoreEast shows [8s 4c] djnoj510 shows [As Ac] Uncalled bet of 6,758 returned to FillmoreEast *** FLOP *** [6d 4d 4h] *** TURN *** [6d 4d 4h] 8♣ *** RIVER *** [6d 4d 4h 8c] 6♥ FillmoreEast shows a full house, Fours full of Eights djnoj510 shows two pair, Aces and Sixes FillmoreEast wins the pot (9,612) with a full house, Fours full of Eights djnoj510 stands up Heywood Usueme stands up micdavmat stands up MadSwan stands up Sindri_93 stands up FillmoreEast stands up *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 9,612 | Rake 0 Board: [6d 4d 4h 8c 6h] Seat 3: Sindri_93 didn't bet (folded) Seat 4: MadSwan didn't bet (folded) Seat 6: micdavmat didn't bet (folded) Seat 7: FillmoreEast (button) showed [8s 4c] and won (9,612) with a full house, Fours full of Eights Seat 8: Heywood Usueme (small blind) folded before the Flop Seat 9: djnoj510 (big blind) showed [As Ac] and lost with two pair, Aces and Sixes |

if he's playing 4+ tables, then he could have just glanced, seen AA and thought - woo hoo. HU with AA. wonder whether the 84o went on to win? G |

| It's shocking how few players really know how to play satellites. I once saw a guy go out on the bubble 1 hand before the shortstack was about to be anted out. (not blinded, anted!) And the SS was sitting out, so the guy was guaranteed a ticket, but he couldn't fold AK to an early position shove. |

| This same instance happened to me months back, yet I folded the AA, thinking it was the right thing to do. When I asked my friend about it, he started flipping out halfway through my telling...I don't event think I ever finished the analysis, past "I folded b/c..." Quote:

| ^^ Fillmore is the big stack with two middle of the road stacks to act, that is an easy steal with ATC...He is at this point gauranteed a seat all the pressure is on the middle stacks to survive, so they should have folded with Sindri sitting there M<1. The prize doesn't improve for the chip leader it is still just a token, he just wants someone to bust out nad here if they had both called it is over no matter what. |
