Hot Dogs and Poker

I'm visiting Ohio right now and had the opportunity to go to a Reds game. Lucky for me it was $1 hot dog night. I'm not sure what they normally cost but judging from the $8 beer prices I'm sure that I was getting a huge discount. Hence, I took it upon myself to devour as many as possible. So, I'm on my 5th or 6th dog, doing my best impression of Kobayashi and Chestnut when I start to think about the implications of hot dog condiments and how they relate to the poker world.

Obviously the most common condiments include mustard, relish, chopped onion, sauerkraut chili and cheese. As far as ketchup.. many hot dog connisseurs scoff at the mention of it anywhere near their tube steak. Indeed, I've been told that if you're older than 10 and put ketchup on your dog.. you're going to hell.. period. On the islands of Kauai and Oahu they offer a variation called "puka dogs". A roll is baked with a hole (puka) in the middle for subsequent weiner insertion.. errr, you know what I mean. These treats are served with a varying array of mango salsas for condiments.

The condiments you choose say alot about you as a person. I would venture to say that certain type poker players tend to gravitate toward certain type condiments. Personally, my condiment choice is directly related to my bankroll. When the poker gods are smiling and my bankroll is large, it might not be unusual to find me topping my frankfurter with Beluga caviar or goose foie gras. On the other hand, when I'm bust.. my only choices are limited to the little mustard packs that I swipe when I walk into a convenient store to ask if I can use the restroom.

I wonder if poker players that are running hot tend to load up with tobasco or those little jalapeno rings? Do micro stakes players opt for the cocktail weiners in barbecue sauce? Do former porn pokerstars slather their footlongs in mayonnaise?

So I ask you.. what kind of poker player are you and what condiments do you put on your weiner?

lol this is very funny
after going to a yanks and mets game in the past two weeks, i've given up buying food at a stadium, unless its a specialty at a place i've never been before, like the outfield bbq area and concessions in philly (a beautiful park btw)
hot dogs are going for $6 on average in NY, 8 for a footlong.

and i'm a mustard guy, with occaisionaly relish or onions, or saurkraut, if available for free

which is similar to my poker...i play if its free, and i can get as much extra play as possible (i.e., i win, and then just burn through my winnings).

its enjoyable, but, like a hot dog thats loaded, once you burn through it, you often regret the decision to have had it in the first place.
