Home games can be easier ways to make some money, that is, if your home game isn't littered with sharks as mine is. Playing with really good players 12+ hours/week can really improve your game though.

If I want to make money, I go to the casino, but if I want to have fun and enjoy myself with my friends, I play a home game.

Home games are great to get togeather with some friends and play for fun. I have made some cash before off of home games. We have a small $5 buy-in with $3 re-buys and we try to play two games if we don't have a full table. I've made $200 in a night before winning both games with everybody re-buying as the were busted. ( I didn't have to re-buy once, knock on wood).

Casino's are a great way to make money if you are close to one, I'm about an hour and a half away so I don't go as much as I should.

I enjoy both to be honest, so on your poll I pick C. All of the above!

Home games are for fun, casinos are for trying to win real money.

My problem with home games is that I only really play them with friends - consequently, the stakes are low because I really don't want to take large sums of money off them. If I could get a regular invite to a cushy home game where I didn't have that qualm... I'd probably have a different view

im gonna go with home games because i would probably lose my temper after losing to a suck out so it would be a bad idea for me to go to a casino. while at home games its just kind of like w/e you have couple of beers play some poker and its all good and no pressure at all, while at casinos you actually have to try and shit like that.

Home game for me. I've heard that the lowest stake at the casino's where I live is €5 BB (so a normal buyin is €500,-). That's way above my comfort level, so I usually just play for fun at my home game.

Since I have no life, and play on the internet from my home, I include them in 'Home Games' and voted thusly.

Home game for me - good company, and no rake. Would be interested in trying playing at a casino, though, to see if I make more money there.

I like home games because they frown on that kind of thing in the casinos. Oh.... you meant poker, I guess.

Home Games

My home games are usually with family and we play $5 freeze-outs with little chips just so that we can get a few tourneys in at fam-jams. It's really nothing more than a bingo shoot-out. But it's fun and entertaining just talking about anything or picking on each other.

I definitely go to a casino when I want to get serious about playing and wanting to make money. Plus, don't want to be seen as too serious around family and trying too hard to take everyone's money.

Home games were fun to me when I had no idea how to play. After winning all most all of my home games and my friends games it lost its appeal. I stopped getting invited to games after this. Here is the big question who here likes to take money from friends?? I for one dont like it. Strangers and other poker room regulars I have no problem with taking their money. Most of them can loose it and not cause problems.

I play in a bi-monthly year round no-limit tournament with a player of the year award and toc tournament at the end of the year. It is my first year in their poker club and have been having a great time. The tournament usually has around 45 players and it has been fun to get to know new people especially since I have been winning. I vote home game as I don't go crazy there as it is only a $60 buy-in which includes snacks, soda, and food (byob) so I never can lose more than $60.
