| Home Game Hand 53os VS J10os So I was in a recent 7 player tournament style home game, and I was shortstacked in the final 3... The blinds were fairly low for our stacks, about 60/120 next to my 3K stack..... from the button i decide to steal with 5s3h. I make it 3X the big blind....the SB folds and the BB makes the call... The flop comes down 10s 6s 3s. BB checks, and I bet about 400, a little over half the pot. My opponent then check-raises to 800, and I quickly move all in knowing that he is weak, he insta-calls with the Jc 10d...showing top pair and no spade.... when he called my all in I thought i was drawing dead but he turned his cards over and to my delight, I was a slight favorite in the hand....the 2s on the turn and the 3c on the river gave me a flush and I made a non important trips.... the moral of the story is....dont steal with 53os unless you suck like me and get lucky with it. and btw, I ended up winning this tournament Last edited by royalburrito24 : 30th September 2007 at 11:12 AM. Reason: forgot to tell everyone that i won |
