HOLY CRAP - I WON!!!! Sorry for the excitement, but I actually won my first Sit n Go - well ANYTHING! I guess getting booted out of the Freeroll at 145th (YIKES - that's my worst finish yet), wasn't such a bad thing . $1 + $0.25 45 person SnG at Full Tilt. That's $17.10 to my account . It's my first win at any of the MTTs, albeit a small one at a site that's known for a lot of fish at the low limit tables (you know, fish - like me ). I noticed that at least at my tables there were several people who enjoyed chasing draws - I think identifying that was a big help to me. I did get into a "discussion" with a couple of people who were bitching about bad suckouts - the "Full Tilt is a joke" type people. I asked him why he played there if it was rigged. He said that he didn't say it was rigged, he said it was a JOKE - the river isn't random, they always let the person with the worst hand win. When I pointed out that he was saying the site was rigged he went on tilt for several hands (including one that he sucked out on). Another guy chimed into the discussion saying that the worst hand won 9 out of 10 times at FT. I said that from my experience FT always gave the chips to the person with the best hand, except in Razz, then they give it to the worst. He didn't appreciate it when I asked him if he had ever lost to a straight when he had a flush. That set him off pretty good . I know to most of you around here, that's not much, but I had to tell somebody!

Thanks a bunch everyone. I agree that I hope there's more wins in the future. The one thing I neglected to mention when I posted that message last night is a big thanks to Cardschat for running their freerolls. Without the couple of times I've placed ITM in the freerolls, I never would have been able to enter that SnG. I've been able to take a couple of dollars here and a couple dollars there and turn it into $20. Now I just need to be able to take $20 here and $20 there and turn it into a few hundred .

MrSwissCheese, I guarantee that no matter how many more wins you have, you will never forget this one, being your first! Congrats mate, its a superb effort to win one of these, and a nice bonus to your bankroll. GL in the future, sngs and small MTTs are where i built my br, they are great to win at, as each sng provides final table training, if you get what I mean.

WTG that's way cool. Actually had I realized there was a 45 seat SnG for a buck, I'd have given it a shot. Even with the 25% entry fee, it looks like a good deal. Looks like it's about $8.55 for second place, and then tiers down to the lowest payout. With some measure of confidence, I'm thinking you can be pretty sure of at least tripling your buy-in. Good deal, even with the sucktacular rake. Greedy bassturds. Hang in there, keep up the good work. I'm happy for you.

a win is always good and there are always gonna be complainers, usually just freerollers that go all in and try to coast to the money...these are the fools that believe online poker is rigged and the best hand should always win

They still collect a $0.25 rake on a $2 game, which brings it much closer to the 10% standard, but right now I feel that would be streching my money a bit too thin. Is there much of a difference in the quality of players between the $1 and $2 tables? |
