Me and my friends have been using this variant for a few games now.

We played with 8 people and it was some really exciting poker. It adds a completely new element to play with and is very strategical.

This is how it goes:

Texas Hold’em Variant

8 person table, to dealers left small and big blind.

3 cards dealt to each person

First to call also drops any card out of his 3 card hand and must match big blind to see the flop. Continues in order this way.

The card that a person drops is now a community card and any person except for the person who dropped the card can play on it. If a person folds out of the hand he also takes his community card with him.

The rest of the rules are standard Texas Hold Em with 1 flop of 3 cards, 1 card on turn, and one card on the river.

This variant adds a new element we have never experienced. Often times if you have a very nice hand due to someone elses dropped community card and you bet a nice sum of money the person who you are playing against will fold his or her hand. If the turned cards come a certain suite and you are holding the same suite on your community card it is wise to fold due to possible flushes,etc... the possibilities were endless we found and it is very strategical.

What do you think of this type of game?
