Okay start to the season. Some funny moments. Ivey and Dwan set to play every episode.

gus was hilarious in there, lol.

Ivey pretty much wrecks this whole episode. I almost feel bad for Hellmuth cuz the kid had some pretty bad luck at some points.

that line from ivey "same hand i had last hand" and throws it into the muck preflop. lolol

Gabe needs someone in the booth with him. His jokes are still hilarious but he needs someone to work off of and who he has a goo rapore with. Didnt realsie Kara wouldn't be in the booth. Why not keep AJ in the Booth???

Ivey made faces like a 2nd grader. He was extremely lucky. He's one of my favs.

They should bring AJ back into the studio with Gabe and have Kara as the roving reporter. I'm going to give GSN my opinion on this, probably won't amount to much, but at least they will have some fan input.

It's definitely got a different feel to previous seasons, not sure if I like it or not yet.

Anyone else notice that Gus doesn't seem to have the first clue when to keep his mouth shut during a hand?

Yeah, it's not the same without Benza.. Kara Scott is.. not great. :/

Kara Scott is great but it is not the show for her.

I wish they would get rid of the announcers.Everytime an interesting converstation gets going at the table,gabe starts talking which is much less interesting than what the players are saying imo.

...actually, I think that's nailed what I really disliked about this season.

One of the things I really liked about the previous seasons of HSP was that it didn't have any of that sponsor crap. There weren't any Jack Link's Beef Jerky wild card hands or segments brought to you by XYZ Poker Site. Hell, the players didn't even wear logos.

Guess it was only a matter of time before we lost that and we'll see over time whether the sponsor segments prove to be just as lame as other shows, but it's unlikely they'll be an improvement over the previous seasons.

I enjoy HSP way more than Poker after dark but I can never find the former on the tv. Thanks for the vids.
Agree with Gabe needing a sidekick. I don't feel the least bit bad about Phil playing J5s and losing.

The show has changed into a Poker After Dark clone, which is exactly what I feared when I heard they had replaced AJ. Even worse, it's a PAD Director's Cut clone, with players discussing the hands right after they happen in taped interviews. Ugh. HSP was its own show. We didn't need a second PAD.

Here's hoping the ratings tank and they "retool" it back to what it was.

Hey, are most people watching this on sites like Youtube and Pokertube? I've generally used Pokertube in the past for this kind of stuff, but wouldn't mind downloading some of the episodes to watch when I'm not online.

Hopefully this isn't out of line, if so, I'll remove it, but does anyone have a Demonoid invitation code? They seem to have a great list of torrents for the poker shows, and it would be really convenient for me to drop some of the episodes on my laptop for when Internet is offline.

And yeah, bring Benza back. The show just feels flat. I really like Poker After Dark, but something just feels like it's missing from Season 6 of HSP. :/

I don't like Gabe in the booth by himself, why not keep AJ and Gabe and then add Kara to the floor? I know the guy who produces this show does poker after dark also, seems like the same shows now. Oh well, good lineup. As long as the players still banter at the table and the action is good, the show should still be good.

finally got around to watching this episode.

didnt find it all that different. i think gabe by himself is just fine, dont miss AJ at all. there were a couple of weird moment where it seemed like gabe was waiting for a reaction but im sure hell get the hang of it.

all i got to say about the interviews is that at least its in a separate booth and they stop filming the game while its happening.

is it just me or are they showing less hands then usual?

How do you get to watch this? I have Directv and GSN but on Sundays they show only re runs. I cannot find Season 6.

i like how he plays a 9 10 off suit the same as he would play AK. definitely works out for him
