Sick of people "hating" on Jamie Gold. Grow up. He won 2006 ME, but he is still a "newby" so to speak. Players need time to establish themselves. Give them the time they need. Jamie has already placed in the Europe ME at 36th.. Pretty good considering the field of players. Bottom line: Just give him some time.

Only people placing above Gold should be able to call him an idiot. Show me your bracelet!

If you listen to what Brunson and Greenstein say after the hand they have got it spot on. Gold saved $180 000 by talking to Sammy through out the whole hand. AA vs KK is a nightmare for KK and he managed to get off lighter than most.

Sammy is pretty loose so Gold could have seen himself as ahead against Q's.

I do find his (Gold's) talking annoying and maybe he pushes the bounds of poker but he uses it very well.

I agree. I hate that people hate on J. Gold just because he was another newbcake that won the WSOP ME. The poker fanboys were just butthurt because one of their favorites didn't win. So, they need someone to take their aggression out on. I think J. Gold did very well that year. His play wasnt that great, but the fact that he was talking players into folding was just too good. How many pros can do that? J. Gold style and approach was different and it worked. If Phil Ivey, Daniel N..ot going to even try to spell his name, or any other pro won the WSOP ME with the same strategy, the fanboys would be posted about how amazing they are. Go figure.

Seriously, stop hating on J. Gold. Quit hating on Moneymaker. They're not the best...yet. I dont know if they ever will be the best, but Im sure they're better than a lot of the people out there who have turned this into a popularity contest.

I think this clip is funny. Pay attention to the hands and how it was played. YouTube - Chris Moneymaker eliminates Phil Ivey out of the 2003 WSOP LOL worthy proof of fanboyism. Moneymaker is teh worst he beat Ivey in this hand. Ivey lost and the fanboys were butthurt...as its seen in the comments.

fact of the matter i'm glad he won the wsop main event and cheered for him while it was on tv, i didn't see the final table where it went heads up though.

then he wanted to check it down with him "lets just check it down" and all the other sheet he does kinda gets a little old. now i never find myself rooting for him cause he's a douche.

RE: Moneymaker- Who is hating on him??? i love the guy, he got me into poker and tought (from tv) me how to play the game.
