Hesh's Poker Story Part 2 - Ooops...YAY! Well, I decided to connect back into the poker room today and played in a number of games: SitnGos, 50/$1 limit, and had approzimately $60 of my initial $70 that I started with. So, being a little bored and feeling back on my game I enter the 50/$1 NL room with half of my bankroll($30). I sit down, watch a hand, then decide to post my big blind in late position. Dealt JJ, I'm pleased to raise $4 and get a couple callers. Flop comes JQK rainbow. I decide to not slowplay and raised all in. Everyone folded. ($50 at table now). Played a number of boring hands in between and have $45 when the following BACK to BACK hands come up. Hand 1 --------- Dealt A10s, I raise to $4. Get one caller, the guy to my immediate left. The flop comes rainbow trash (nothing higher than 9). And with no straight possiblity. I bet $1, he calls. The turn is an A, I bet $1, he calls. The river is a Q, I bet $1, he raises me to $7, I go to click the CALL button, and accidently hit the raise button (another $6 on top to make $13). OOOOOOPS. He calls, I show my Aces, he mucks. YAY! Hand 2 ------------- Dealt A10s, (That's right the same hand, different suit). I raise again $4, and have the same guy call. Flop comes A,10,9 rainbow. I bet $10 and he calls. Turn is Q, and I'm a little concerned now about a straight draw, so I raise $19, which is exactly what he has left. He calls showing 87off, and when a 3 comes on the river, I take it down. SCORE!! Well. I'm much happier than yesterday, my bankroll is back over$100 and I'm feeling my game has stregthened. Stay tuned, we'll see how fast I can blow it tomorrow!!

Good to hear you're back in the game. I was hitting well the other day, took 10$'s to a omaha table got lucky enough to run into a kid with 100$ that didn't know what he was doing so he called everything turned my 10 into 60$'s now I don't know not doing so well so I'm at the penny tables practicing up just hard to play any kinda practice fake money or pennies because everyone calls on everything and you cannot make your hand work right. Anyways, Nice job with the game.

That's a good topic. How play differs as the stakes get higher. It really does change things. Play money and penny tables are kinda crazy, 80-90% of the people will call with anything. There is a few that still do at the higher tables, I find that play tightens up and is pretty decent around the 50/$1 limit tables and higher.

re: Hesh's Poker Story Part 2 - Ooops...YAY! Yes at the lowest limits you can't bluff at all, they will call regardless most of the time. Still going to get players calling when they shouldn't as you move up tables but you will get some room to make some moves and steal some pots.

Yeah agreed but when my game isn't going so well I don't like sitting at the high limits waiting for it to come around so I try to catch the Play tables and penny tables to sharpen up card playing but agreed 80-90% will call, lost twice with pocket a's even pushing in .50c - 1.$ I mean they called all the way until the end to catch a straight, and a flush, which the flop was rainbow'd and didn't catch until the last two it was like JESUS!!! I do however Gumble love the ones that play at the 2$-4$ like it's pennies, like I said turned 10$'s into 60 lol. Ps that does sound like a good topic
