HEM question. Can you collect data while observing? First off, I apologize if this is in the wrong thread. I posted it here and not in the HEM forum because no one responds there. Anyway I was wondering if you can collect data on a table that you are either A) observing and not seated or B) seated and waiting for BB. If either of this is possible, how do you configure your settings to add to your hand history? Thanks in advance.

What you are describing is called "datamining" and has been eliminated by most of the major sites. I know Stars, FTP, and Party have done away with the capability. I'm not sure about others (like UB/AP, Bodog, iPoker, etc.).

data mining will get your account banned at most sites so i wouldnt recommend you doing it even if the poker software does allow you to do it you might get busted later on and have your account closed hardly worth it for a few hands of data on someone while your not playing
