HEM large number of hands?

I've been using PT3 since April, and am very happy w it. Recently, though, I've been playing alot more Omaha than HE, so I'm running the trial version of HEM (has Omaha integrated, for PT3 it's a separate application for the time being). I like a lot of things about the HEM UI and have been pretty pleased w the trial (1 day into the trial).

However, I just finished loading all my HH's into HEM (800K+ hands), and reporting and graphing performance is poor. Is there a practical limit to the number of hands I can put into HEM? Any suggestions? Do I need to create smaller db's by month/quarter?

I'm running a manual full vacuum on the db as I'm writing this post.

Maybe after the vacuum it'll be better. I only have 600k so I'm not sure what happens as the hands go up, but the delay isn't too terrible for me. About 5 seconds and the graph was constructed.

I'm horrible about database maintenance personally. I'm going to vacuum now thanks to you!
