Help with setting up Pokertracker

I know there are threads already, and I have tried to absorb the instructions, but am still having difficulties. I was blessed with about as much technical know-how as a wellington boot. I have managed to get hand histories saved to my hard drive and pokertracker is reading them and statistics are being generated, though it seems only for the hands I import manually. I start HUD and it displays statistics based on the manually imported hands, but though I have auto-import running and it appears to be gathering data as I play, it isn't updating the HUD stats. Please could someone help using very basic language/instructions.

I can't get stats on myself to display on the table with HUD either.

Assuming you are talking about PT3, hang in there, this is still a work in progress.

From the very brief description you gave, it seems the Refresh button might be what you need.

Tournament SUmmaries are only provided by FullTilt and are seemingly the only tourney info automatically imported at this time. Stars and the other sites will still require Manual Entry of Tourney results.

DO read the PT documentation available on the PT site. Also, at the top of the PT page there is a big colorful Video available from Stox describing in fairly basic ways what to do with PT. Last I checked it was free. But it, like PT3 is barely past the beta testing stage and still a work in progress.

Thanks DJ11. Yep, it's PT3. I think I tried setting the refresh button already, but it isn't doing much for me. I only play cash tables at the moment so tourney data isn't an issue. Thanks anyway and I'll keep playing around with it.

this happened to me when i downloaded beta 9 i think it was.

Try going to Start -> All programs -> PostgreSQL -> Stop service

Then Start -> All programs -> PostgreSQL -> Start service

If this doesn't work, export all your hands from your database (i think its export, someone needs to back me up on that though, the one you use to put all hh back to your hard drive?)

Then reinstall
