Help me to generate a PT3 report for you to make fun of

Can you guys help me to figure out how to generate a PT3 report that I can post here so that you can ridicule ..... I mean provide constructive criticism?

I'm looking for help in generating the report and what parameters to include that will give you the best insight as to why I'm giving money away on Full Tilt.

The software is more complicated than I anticipated, and I could use a steer on how to use it to expose why I suck at poker.

I maybe have 4k hands since I bought the software.

Even something as simple as how to show my total voluntary money in pot / preflop raise / aggro factor (guessing that would be a good start. I think my voluntary money in pot is pretty high, so I wonder if that's the first thing to address). Sorry I don't know the correct nomenclature for that.

Just take screenshots of the "Player Statistics" on the General Tab and the "Position Statistics" on the Positions Tab and post them. That's a good place to start.

You could also add any stat you want to a custom report under the Reports tab (of course). Screen shots will work as well or even just post the numbers.

Ok, this is probably about half of my total hands since I first started playing for real money (that is, I bought the software about halfway through my poker "career").

You might want to say, um, dude it looks like you have no idea what you are doing. That's pretty much the truth.

I played thousands of hands with fake money live and against the 'puter before I started with real $. I have read some books, articles etc. So much of it was and remains over my head. I have watched God only knows how many hands on TV (it seems like the guys on HSP don't seem to have any rules whatsoever with regards to starting hands ?????)

I have never played live. My confidence is too low right now to work up the nerve to sit at a table. I think I would screw things up, embarass myself and quite possibly piss a few people off. Don't know how to get over that other than just saying screw it and go sit down. I could probably get to a table at a local casino within 45 minutes, so it's close enough to be practical.

Know what I need? Some kind of program that walks you through hands and explains pot and implied odds as you go. Something step by step that goes through each hand and shows how to calculate the odds and how they relate specifically to a given hand.

Anyway .....

The rules for starting hands change according to stack sizes, and the people on HSP play well over 200bb deep. I'm assuming the games you are used to are around 100bb.

You appear to be limping way too much. In 6max it is almost never correct to limp first in, in general you should be raising or folding. It also looks like your going to showdown too much, which means you are probably going too far with your marginal hands. Your vpip is way too high also, it looks as though your playing every suited cards and connectors in every position everytime. I would suggest moving down in limits and tightening up a lot.

I just looked at the stats you added on the bottom. Your defending from the blinds too much also and calling too many 3bets. You should be stealing at least twice as much, which should happen once you start raising more and limping less. Ideally I would focus on tightening the gap between your vpip and pfr, somewhere around 18vpip/16pfr or 16/14 would be a good place to start till you get more comfortable playing post flop

If I could break the numbers down further, I bet I would find less of this in my more recent play. Of late, I think I have been better at resisting the simple urge to gamble and see a flop.

Same deal. I know I have tightened up some, and I also think I seem to lose more often when I sometimes lose my discipline and go back to playing cards I shouldn't be playing.

(I hope that first one is legible. With my marginal eyesight, I do have a tough time reading it).

I'm really too new at the game to be offering poker advice when there are so many knowledgeable folks here, although I will say your VPIP looks too high and you don't seem to be considering position in your play.

FYI, regarding your screenshot quality, consider saving as PNG format instead of JPG. The loss of data inherent to the default JPG compression levels cause those splotchy artifacts that make fine details (as in smaller fonts) harder to read. Also, no need for the whole large image when you only need one line of stats -- just crop it out with Paint or whatever graphics tool you're saving with.

Actually, I'd think it probably easier just to cut & paste the numbers themselves rather than capturing screenshots, but whatever works best for you.

You know, it's one of the first things I learned about NLHE ....... position is key (probably the first thing everyone learns).

So I was a little disturbed to see those numbers so even. Maybe I didn't learn it so well after all.

And thanks for the tips with regards to posting the images. Damn, I really had a hard time. Any way I cut and pasted just came out in a mass of numbers. Looked fine when I first pasted, but then when I previewed the post it was all wacked out.
