Heads-Up Cash Question I went to a 0.25/0.50 HU cash table the other day. Someone was already at the table waiting for anyone to play. It seems like people multi-table these games quite a bit. Anyways we played about 15 to 20 hands and I was up approximately $5.00 when he typed in the chat box "No thanks, not interested anymore" and he sat out. Is this his own table he's created because if it isnt it seems to me that he's the one that should leave. However he just sat out until I left and waited for another player. Didnt know if anyone else had encountered this. Seems odd to me they can tie up so many tables deciding who they play.

re: Heads-Up Cash Question poker FT is the only site I've played a HU cash but I'll assume the rest are the same. If you stay and he sits out then after a certain amout of time (I think 10 min.) the system will kick the sitter out and it's your table. So yes just stay there and he will be forced to leave.

Did he have a deep stack? That would be the only reason I can see for him to want to stay at the table instead of just leaving. As for him not wanting to play you, that's quite common. He probably realized that you weren't just going to give him your stack and figured he could find some easier $$$ elsewhere.

He realized you are not the fish he's waiting and stopped playing. Why risk his money when he can wait for the fish to come ? |

Unfortunate for you, he made the correct decision. Sitting out and waiting to pick a better spot is exactly what he's waiting for. You may want to stash a player notes on him for future reference, furthermore add his name to your player request list. Find him 2-3 days later, hopefully he'll forget you ever encountered him in play.
