Have you ever played with a "poker pro"?

The reason I started playing poker is that I saw more and more poker shows like "poker after dark and the wsop" in sports channels so i started tuning in. I would always see the different personalities and the range of regular joes who play in big tournaments so i thought it would be funn for me as well so i started playing online in fulltiltpoker.net the place where pros play. Since they only play huge stakes I never get to play one, so Ive always wondered what is it like to play with a poker pro.

Only the super pros only play huge stakes. At full tilt you can find a pro playing at .25/.50 nl tables every night.

I play on FT also and you can find some of the lesser known pros all the way down to $5 sit n gos/tourneys. Iv'e played with some of em, also if your a fan of the UFC you can find matt hughes and mike swick playing lower stakes.

i have played with pros before with phil ivey mostly on ftp, once i was watching him play with another pro then i asked if he wanted to play of course i thought he was gonna say no, guess he was in a good mood because he agreed and well we met up in the low stake think it was like ten bux i buy in with and ended up winning ten bux from him

but yea the GOOD pros play huge stakes 1 time i saw eli elazra or wtf ever his name is (he ususally play 200/400 stakes with ivy,larz and urindanger and has alot of cash at tables )play

I played at the same micro table as Daniel Negreanu on Stars several months back. He was trying to build the "big bankroll" type challenge, like Chris Ferguson did on FT. I haven't seen Daniel around the micro tables lately, so he may have abandoned the attempt.

I have seen a number of pros playing the Daily dollar at FT. I've tried a few of the tournaments and lasted longer than a number of them.

I have also played with a few in a couple of freerolls. Surprised, but they could have been filling in time.

I see Lee Watkinson from time to time in FullTilt's 35K Guarentee MTT.

Uh...my post should read "I played at the same micro table AGAINST Daniel Negreanu"...not as Daniel Negreanu! Oops!

I've played against a guy named "Alan Boston" on Full Tilt at 100nl and he's the single biggest nit (tight player) I've ever seen in my life. If you are familiar with stats he's a 7/5 in full ring play. Wow.

Was it u or Belgo who where allways talking about how much Vitaly "horse shoe up my ass i run good at MTTs" Lunkin sucked at ring?

I've played against Phil gordon with play money lol.
Also there are alot of pros who have played in the same mtt's i've played in but not on the same table though.
Lee watkinson in particular plays alot of micro/low buyin mtts along the higher ones and can be found alot of times in the daily dollar and similar mtts.

Was not me about Lunkin. I have played Watkinson in hyper turbo MTTs on FTP he plays them all the time.

Paul Wasicka played at my table in a tournament at Full Tilt once before. Also played against both Chip and Karina Jett.

Annie Duke played at my table, in a MTT

Scott Fischman stacked me off in 5NL-6Max one night.

I played a live SNG vs. Gavin Smith, Brad Booth, Maria Ho, Dennis Phillips, Tiffany Michelle, Bryan Devonshire, peach68 & a couple others last year (Nov.'08 a the B.C.P.C.). The pic. in my avatar is me holding a $1,000 chip which was part of the prizepool for taking 1st place.

My girlfriend played a live HeadsUp $500 freeroll vs. Gavin Smith the same day.

On Fulltilt I've played on the same tables with quite a few of the pros and have one KO t-shirt. If you play in some of the larger field tourneys you're bound to get on a table with a Fulltilt pro sooner or later. Sometimes there are priv. tourneys running on Fulltilt with smaller fields so your chances of getting on a table with a pro will be much better (ie. the Charity tournaments.. BadBeat on Cancer,etc.).
