Right, I've not played for about 2-3 months now.. Was on a bit of a downward spiral. I've played for about 4-5 years, mostly live in the casino. Was I a winning player? - not sure, I did make the final table at least 1 in 3 times so I figure I did ok. Did I keep score - no... I might start to do that.

Anyway, I got a new job and decided to give it a rest. Played 3 times in the casino last week, final table twice leaving once when my AK suited hit the K and walked into AA, and the other was JJ running into Quad 8's, ho hum. I've also played 4 or 5 freeroles this week.

The break has revitalised me, made me fall in love with the game again, ignite a passion I didn't realise that I had lost. It was so much fun playing, the reason I took the game up. Also, I seem to be playing very well and not making stupid calls like I (used to) have a habit of and actually losing when you are supposed to.

I look forward to 2009 and a healthy, profitable year ahead.

Resolution - Keep track of all money spent and won playing poker, both in the casino and on the internet!

I recently also took about a 3 month break also due to computer problem.
But in the months leading up I had been playing less and did not miss it at first. Then towards the end I really have got the itch to play gain and really
have enjoyed it.
LOVE the BEER quote.

Doyle Bruson said it best in Super System.... Taking a vacation from poker is one of the best things you can do.
