Has this happened to anyone else?

I received a letter from one of the online sites i play on. It said one of their employees was stealing my bank information, but had been caught. Has this happened to anyone else?

Be extremely careful that this is not a scam. If the email asks you to confirm any details or click on a link then I would suggest it is extremely suspect.

Your best bet is to email the sites support address (not by replying to the email) and ask them for confirmation of the issue before doing anything else.

Hope it works out.

LOL! If I could collect 10% of the lotteries I've supposedly "won" I'd be rich as Rockefeller.

i don't think it was a scam of any kind. they did not ask for any kind of information from me. they were just making me aware of it and they did list the last four digits of the account that was used.

Just because they new four digits of your acct doesn't mean it isn't a scam. There are similar credit card scams where they actually have some of your info to start. Anyway, best bet is to do what Irexes said and contact their support team directly (not in reply to the e-mail itself) and confirm that this is true and valid.

Also, can you tell us what site sent you this e-mail? Sometimes we have others that may have had something similar to share.
